Summary
The man with the familiar face, whom Tony still refused to name, was tall, taller than he remembered. He had certainly put on weight and moved with a confidence Tony didn't recognize in him. His face had lost its baby fat, giving way to a more defined jawline, and his moist eyes reflected a fatigue that was certainly not due to a lack of sleep.
Neither Tony nor Pepper dared to make a move.
The little girl sat up slightly in the young man's arms, and Tony saw the little pout that appeared on her face, so similar to the one Pepper sometimes wore when she was unhappy with a situation.
“... Petey, he said a bad word...”
Peter.
It was Peter, and probably Morgan.
His children had never been reduced to ashes.
