Re: Mugen IF / Starting Life From Scratch In A Different World Being The Stronge

Summary:

What would happen if a young man from the Gojo clan, with the "Unlimited" curse technique and the "Six Eyes," was summoned to the world of Re:Zero before even becoming the Strongest Sorcerer?

This story is about "Gojo Subaru," one of the sorcerers categorized as a "Special-Grade Sorcerer," who was summoned to another world. This time, Gojo must do everything possible to try to return to Japan, or simply stay in this strange world.

I hope you enjoy it.

Chapter 1: Arc 1: Summoning the Strongest

Chapter Text

Prologue: "The Unlimited Subconscious."

The sensation upon awakening was similar to that of someone emerging from the water.

Emerging from his body, which had been submerged in a conscious and unconscious state, he allowed that reality to circulate through his body in the form of breath.

As he did so, his consciousness slowly returned, breaking the surface of the place where he emerged.

To sleep was to live, to wake was to die; if you're pessimistic, you can put it that way.

Shortly after, consciousness and unconsciousness quickly brought him to an enlightened state, where his mind tried to grasp onto 'something,' whatever it was...

But everything was dark. A whole world of nothing but black darkness.

There, he was thrown. In a wavering world, in a black clarity, which only increased in size and shape, he was seemingly floating in the water, not knowing which was left or right, up or down.

With her mind so muddled, any thought she tried to formulate slipped through her fingers.

And just like that, her thoughts vanished from her brain, as if throwing water on the floor.

Shortly after, in that total darkness, a mysterious figure appeared in her vision.

A mixture of guilt and uncertainty attacked him as soon as the mysterious voice spoke in a whisper.

Unfortunately, he couldn't hear, express, or feel anything during this enigmatic moment.

But something strange happened, unbeknownst to him, inexplicably. Now that blurred humanoid silhouette began to look more detailed.

Now, he could see her clearly and perfectly. He saw her tearful eyes and her sad face.

So...

He wanted to say something to her, but her lips were sealed, without understanding why.

He wanted to wipe away her tears, but he had no arms or body to move.

He wanted to swallow that feeling of melancholy, but he didn't have the stomach for it.

He also wanted to hear the problems that tormented her, but this was denied him, as he had no ears.

He wanted to be hateful and take her away from that place, but he lacked a certain malice to do so.

And finally...

He wanted to feel her, as the two swam in the waters of love, but he lacked more skill.

Without further ado, these desires were ignored. Because he didn't have a mouth, ears, a stomach, or even a body.

All he could do was watch her suffer in unbearable agony, with unparalleled clarity.

He tried to close his 'eyes,' but he didn't have eyelids. He tried to turn away, but he didn't have a head to turn either.

He could only watch her in that state, unable to do anything about it...

In any case, beyond that feeling, his consciousness is slowly awakening...

Letting that boundless ocean disappear, waiting for something different next time.Next time, he would not only be able to observe her in a unique way, but he would also be able to give her a hug, and he would even hear her voice and mention how beautiful she sounds.

Finally, he would take this sadness and keep it to himself.

With this realization, the world shrouded in black was filled with an overwhelming sense of love.

In that instant, the supposedly empty space warped, then shattered as time began to move.

It was so simple. He understood that his time was coming.

Where he had ended in darkness, boundless light was born, and if he walked with her again, the world would look at him once more.

Turning his back on her, he began to walk forward.

Although he wanted to return to where she was, his gaze reflected a willpower that would not give up.

Yet surely, one day he would look into her eyes and tell her so.

Her charming face echoed until the very end, when Gojo Subaru started again.

Chapter 1 "The Arrival of the Strongest"

*

*

"Eh...? Where am I...?" The boy blinked several times, his voice echoing in the place, as he looked around without understanding what had happened.

At first glance, it seemed completely ordinary, with nothing particularly remarkable about it... except, of course, for the small detail that it had appeared out of nowhere.

His hair was snow-white, perfectly messy, with strands falling naturally, as if the chaos in his life was also reflected in his appearance.

"What the hell is this?" Assuming a defensive posture, the boy looked in all directions, not understanding what had happened.

In doing this, his muscular build was revealed, suggesting that he had worked hard enough to stay in shape; his height, quite remarkable for his age, also added to his presence.

Although, if we were to talk about his "Presence," it was obvious that his black sorcerer's outfit would draw all the attention, because...

It was an elegant garment, but also very practical, because it was his jujutsu sorcerer's school uniform, which fit him perfectly, as if specifically designed to highlight his figure.

And, if we were to talk about his "Aura," we couldn't leave out his "Eyes."

Small irises stood out in an intense, almost ethereal blue, which seemed to glow with its own light.

"Is this some kind of domain?" the boy looked around, on high alert...

Even there, with that expression on his face, his eyes seemed to pierce through everything they looked at, as if he saw the world differently from everyone else.

The bewilderment was real, but his posture conveyed something different: a quiet confidence, the certainty of someone who knew much more than he let on.

"It's strange... I don't sense any trace of cursed energy emanating from them. And a Dominion on this scale... would be impossible."

Slowly, he lowered his guard. He was no longer aggressive, but he wasn't the kind of person you'd want to provoke at that moment either.

Despite appearances, he looked strange enough to quickly stand out from the crowd, and not in a very subtle way.

Most of the people who passed by glanced at him out of the corner of their eyes, filled with curiosity and a touch of bewilderment, as if they had seen something completely out of place, something that didn't fit into their world. Frankly, that was to be expected.

Among all those onlookers, there was no one with snow-white hair that seemed to glisten in the sunlight. Much less anyone wearing a perfectly tailored black sorcerer's outfit, which stood out with a strange elegance and modernity compared to the rest of the clothing.

Much less someone wearing a perfectly fitted black sorcerer's suit, which stood out with a strange elegance and modernity, compared to the clothes worn by the rest.

Some wore worn steel armor, black robes adorned with simple embroidery, or even outfits that looked like something straight out of a dance performance.

Their hair colors ranged from blonde to red to brown, though some eccentric ones leaned toward blue or green. However, none of them looked as out of place as he did.

As he noticed the waves of stares, the young man crossed his arms and had no choice but to accept the truth.

"This has to be one of those..." He said, snapping his fingers and pointing dramatically at the crowd, as if he were on a stage.

"One of those so-called 'I've been summoned to another world' stories, right?"

He says with playful disbelief, his voice contrasting with his situation, as if he were joking with himself more than looking for real answers.

Just then, a cart pulled by a gigantic lizard-like creature passed in front of him, kicking up some dust.

«...Yes, I was definitely summoned to another world. But who in their right mind summons someone like me?» The thought crossed his mind, accompanied by a half-smile that appeared on his lips.

"It doesn't matter, wherever I've been summoned, it could be fun! I'd better explore." His voice was a mixture of excitement and amusement.

After all, even though he was a disaster at many things, Subaru had never been the type of person to back down from the unknown.

Part 2

Subaru Gojo was an extraordinarily strange boy, born on Earth, the third planet of the solar system, coming from a family of high renown in the nation of Japan.

If we had to summarize his nearly fifteen years of life, a single sentence would suffice:

"A walking disaster with extraordinary power." And if you still felt the need to add more details, you could easily add:

"A first-year student at the Jujutsu School of sorcery, with a tendency to disobey orders and do whatever he pleases."

Standing at a crossroads in life's journey, just like everyone else, Subaru faced a difficult choice:

"Whether that means following the path to becoming the head of the Gojo clan, or using her power to achieve an incredibly high status."

People generally have to make a choice, but in Subaru's case... well, that was a question he preferred to avoid altogether.

Why choose one or the other when you can have both, or neither? That was the mentality that defined him.

In fact, if decision-making were an art, Subaru would be a genius, as he did what he wanted without regard for the consequences, especially when it came to protecting the weak, something he deeply abhorred.

While everyone else struggled with their own paths, he wallowed in his own indifference.

By avoiding such decisions, unexcused absences began to pile up rapidly, and before he knew it, he had become the troublesome rookie at the sorcery school, the guy who had disappointed everyone within the Gojo clan, without any effort to hide it.

*Wilted smile*

Honestly, Subaru found it ironic that, despite being so powerful, he was seen as a failure in the eyes of his clan.

Even being the only sorcerer in over four hundred years, to have inherited not only "The Limitless Curse Technique" (Mukagen), but also the innate gift that was rarely passed on even among the Gojo: "The Six Eyes" (Rikugan).

Anyway, who cared about other people's opinions when you were invincible?

"Now that I've been summoned to a completely different world..." He remained silent for a moment, letting the absurd reality sink in.

"Supongo que eso lo confirma. Ahora soy oficialmente un desertor."

An ironic smile spread across her face, raising a hand to her head as if accepting her fate.

Her gaze wandered over the unfamiliar and bizarre landscape. She pulled one of the drinks she'd bought from the store from her bag, and between sips, finally let out a sigh.

But after sharpening his senses to find any trace of cursed energy, he realized it was no use; for some strange reason, he could no longer detect practically anything of it.

Se pellizcó las mejillas y golpeó ligeramente su cabeza contra una pared de piedra, incapaz de despertar.

With another long, resigned sigh, Subaru, having run out of ideas, was now far from where he'd started, completely avoiding the curious glances that followed his eccentric appearance.

"Seriously? What the hell is going on?" The tone of his voice contrasted sharply with what he was actually feeling.

It wasn't that he was completely terrified, but even someone like Subaru Gojo knew this wasn't just a game.

As the murmur of the crowd and the clatter of wagons filled the air, Subaru took a moment to adjust the glasses he was wearing.

It was almost like a ritual, a way to focus his mind as his blue eyes shone with a mixture of caution and excitement.

"Of course they would think I'm a stranger, they might even think I'm an alien," he stated confidently.

Now he sat against the alley wall, watching people come and go with a mixture of interest

"Assuming I've really been summoned to a fantasy world..." he muttered to himself, looking up at the clear sky and then back at the bustle of the street, "the state of civilization seems to be typical: medieval-style. Nothing new there."

He paused for a moment, stroking his chin as if seriously assessing the situation.

"So far, I haven't seen anything mechanical, but the roads are surprisingly well paved... A bit more advanced than I expected."

Then the mini albino tossed his rare ten-yen coin. "Hmm, as expected, the monetary system is completely different too." With a sigh, he continued to complain, unsure of what to do next.

"Great, I can't use any of my money, and now I'm stuck in a medieval world. Incredible investment."

As for whether he could communicate with the people here and understand the value of goods, those were things Subaru investigated immediately after accepting that he had been summoned to a different world.

Fortunately, he had no problem communicating and was able to confirm that trade was conducted with gold, silver, and copper coins.

"It probably has to do with my Six Eyes... Perhaps they're automatically translating what I hear? Or who knows, maybe it's another one of those parallel world rules," Subaru thought, with skepticism and a hint of sarcasm. He admitted that his luck wasn't so bad, so far.

Admitting that his luck wasn't so bad, for now... Besides, the fact that Subaru was able to accept his situation so easily wasn't strange.

Después de todo, seguía siendo un joven japonés moderno, alguien que había crecido embriagado por el anime, los videojuegos y las novelas ligeras. Esto, sin duda, le había dado un marco de referencia para afrontar algo tan surrealista.

"It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say this kind of thing is written in my DNA. This is almost a dream come true... but let's be honest, couldn't they have given me a little more initial equipment?"

Subaru chuckled, crossing his arms as he glanced at his belongings.

He had a cell phone that would soon run out of battery, a wallet full of membership cards from video rental stores, a cup of instant ramen (sweet with honey sauce), a bag of chips (corn syrup flavor), his Jujutsu wizard outfit, and a pair of worn-out shoes from the school uniform he'd worn for over a year.

*Sigh* «...This is truly disgusting.» He thought in frustration, yawning wearily...

"Really? Not even a note of explanation? A 'how to survive in another world' manual? This is all I get?"

With a sigh, Subaru opened the bag of chips. Already hungry, he ate half of it before realizing he'd just consumed his only source of food in this world. Still, he didn't seem worried.

"The real problem is something else..." After a while, Subaru pulled a wooden box from his pocket. The box was so old and peculiar that it seemed out of place among his modern belongings.

He carefully opened it, revealing its contents: a blackened and deformed human finger, radiating a malevolent energy that seemed to freeze the air around it.

Subaru remained silent for a moment, observing the cursed object now resting in his hand. The pressure emanating from it felt almost tangible, as if daring him to take it lightly.

Subaru clenched his jaw, looking down at the box, muttering to himself,

"Why the hell did I agree to carry this thing...?" he thought with a mixture of disbelief and annoyance, trying to remember something.

-----

At the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School...

—Subaru, the cursed object you have to retrieve is very important. After all, it's one of the containers of the King of Curses. Yaga-sensei explained to me that, after his death, the ancient sorcerers were unable to destroy his body. Currently, there are rumors that another vessel is here in Tokyo.

Subaru remembered clicking his tongue in disinterest, crossing his arms as he gave Suguro a mocking look.

—Yeah, right! They're just stories to scare the newer wizards, Geto. Do you really believe that nonsense?. he'd said, his tone thick with sarcasm as he looked away, searching for something more interesting than his friend's historical lecture.

Suguro could only sigh, the disappointment evident on his face. A mixture of pity and exasperation filled his voice as he replied,

—This is what happens when you don't study history, Subaru. Seriously...? I can't believe you're special grade. Now I understand why no one at the academy respects you. I must agree with Yaga-sensei by saying that he would not allow you to enter, be thankful he had an mishap and he's not here. If he were, he would have smashed you against the wall for showing up now.

Subaru just shrugged, letting out a carefree laugh.

—Oh, come on! As if history is worth anything. It's just a bunch of stupid stuff that happened centuries ago, nothing more. No one needs to know that to exorcise curses these days.

Suguru's look became more sharping. He had carried the responsibilities alone all this time, and Subaru's indifference only added fuel to the fire.

—You know what? At first glance you seem kind of nice, but when you open your mouth... Ugh! You should be more considerate of others... Anyway...

This was no time for pointless arguments. He roughly pulled out a scroll covered in notes and threw it next to Subaru.

—According to rumors, his remains were passed down through generations in the form of cursed artifacts. There are twenty in total...

he said, revealing a twisted finger, adorned with multiple talismans, with a calculated gesture.

—These represent his fingers. As far as we know, he was the strongest shaman a thousand years ago, but today he is a curse incarnate.

—Boring..." Subaru huffed, waving his hand as if shooing away a fly. —Just tell me where I have to go, that's it. I don't need that thing's biography.

Suguro covered his face with his hand, taking a deep breath, like someone trying to hold back a storm.

He had heard that, like him, Subaru was also classified as a Special Grade sorcerer.

Some sorcerers had even dared to call them both "The Strongest." Something Suguro simply couldn't agree with.

To him, Subaru was nothing more than an irresponsible, arrogant man who didn't deserve such a title. Without further ado, he said in a dry voice:

—That's it. From now on, it's your responsibility to deliver it.

With his hands in his pockets, Suguro he walked toward the exit. Reaching the door of the hall, he paused for a moment and, without deigning to look at him, uttered one last warning:

—I expect you to take your first mission seriously. Without waiting for a reply, he left, leaving him alone.

Subaru stood there, staring at the paper his companion had handed him. All the information about the cursed object was written on those pages.

—Tgh, What nonsense!... -he muttered under his breath, crumpling the sheet of paper, before throwing it on the ground.

For him, reading this was pointless; it was a waste of time. What was the point of memorizing events from a thousand years ago when he had always solved everything with sheer strength and skill?

What Subaru didn't know was that this mission wasn't what it seemed. The "cursed object" was just an excuse.

The finger he was supposed to retrieve wasn't protected by any talismans, making it a magnet for special-grade curses.

Subaru's task was simple on paper: endure ten hours with the container in his possession, until he received the signal to return to the academy to seal it.

The official excuse had been easy to sell: "The talismans aren't ready yet, and if you enter the school with your finger, the barriers might react badly and release it." Subaru, with no other choice, accepted without giving it much thought.

In reality, the truth behind their summons was for a completely different matter, although, incidentally, they would benefit by obtaining another cursed artifact of special grade.

Subaru's true mission was much bigger: both he and Suguro himself had been directly appointed by Master Tengen to protect and eliminate the next Star Plasma Vessel.

That was the crucial point: every five hundred years, Tengen had to merge with a compatible vessel to stabilize his body and prevent his cursed technique from forcing him to evolve beyond human.

Without that fusion, the balance would be broken. Tengen's body would begin to regenerate uncontrollably, and with it, his technique would malfunction, threatening to push all of humanity toward an uncertain fate...

A burden too heavy... even for someone who called himself "the strongest."

This was merely a test. Subaru had to pass it alone. If he failed—if he returned before the designated time or lost the object—the higher-ups would most likely order his immediate execution.

And in the world of Jujutsu... second chances didn't exist.

----

Returning to the present, Subaru looked at himself.

There he was, in a completely unfamiliar world, holding the finger of a cursed entity that, according to Suguro, was the strongest shaman in history.

"Tsk. Should I have paid more attention to Suguro?" he muttered to himself. However, doubt began to creep into his mind.

He put his finger back in the box and hid it among his belongings, determined not to underestimate him. For the first time in a long time, he felt a small pang of uncertainty.

"Well, if there really is any truth to all this, I guess I'll have to find out... Or who else is going to take charge?"

With a sigh, Subaru stood up, brushing the dust off his clothes. The world around him might be new, but his attitude hadn't changed entirely: always confident, always irreverent. Though, this time, perhaps he should be a little more careful.

"So I have a finger of the King of Curses in my starting inventory." This definitely isn't going to go wrong, is it?"

He laughed softly, though he couldn't ignore the feeling of oppression emanating from the object. A tangible reminder of his previous world, and a reminder that, even here, curses continued to haunt him.

The fact that no one in this world knew about the King of Curses seemed both an advantage and a problem.

«This is something I'll have to deal with alone,» he thought, feeling the irony of the situation. Even he, the supposed "Strongest," barely knew enough about the cursed object called Ryomen Sukuna, beyond rumors and fragments of history he deliberately ignored.

«Damn, could this get any worse?» he thought with worry and resignation as he looked at the box containing the container.

Determined not to dwell on the matter any longer, Subaru distracted himself by watching the passersby. At first, it all seemed surreal.

"This looks like a movie..." he muttered to himself as he watched the giant lizards pulling carts and the strange figures walking through the streets.

The extravagant clothing, the unusual hair colors, and especially the demi-humans, were the elements that completely convinced him he was in another world. People with cat and dog ears, men with scaly skin that looked like lizards walking upright, and ordinary humans like himself mingled in a setting that seemed straight out of an RPG.

People with cat and dog ears, men with scaly skin who looked like lizards walking upright, and ordinary humans like him mingled in a scene that seemed straight out of an RPG.

"So this is a world with demi-humans... and probably wars, adventurers, and magic," Subaru concluded quietly as he analyzed what he saw with a little more concentration.

And thanks to this, something caught his attention. With his Six Eyes, he noticed a peculiar phenomenon in the air: blue energy particles floated freely, dispersing like a faint glow that seemed to cover the entire place.

"What is this?" he thought, squinting to see what he saw. Focus better on the flow of that energy. Although his knowledge was limited, his experience with cursed energy allowed him to recognize that this was something entirely different.

At first, when he was first summoned, he thought they were mosquitoes, or some other kind of annoying insect.

"Do I think my initial analysis was incorrect" he thought, squinting to better focus on the flow of this new energy.

Although his knowledge was limited, his experience with cursed energy allowed him to recognize that this was something completely different.

"It's as if this energy is... the foundation of this world," he murmured, recalling the endless hours he had spent watching anime about fantasy worlds.

Without giving it much thought, Subaru took off his glasses, allowing his Six Eyes to directly observe the flow of those particles. The sensation was strange, but not unpleasant.

With his enhanced vision, he noticed something even more interesting: those particles were beginning to move toward him, as if attracted by his own cursed energy. However, by joining his internal flow, they didn't seem to be absorbed or interfere with his own energy.

"Are they integrating...?" Subaru watched in fascination as those particles mixed with his cursed energy without altering or transforming it.

It was as if they coexisted naturally, yet at the same time remained separate. Although he didn't feel an immediate change in his body, the phenomenon was strange enough to leave him. Perplexed.

"This confirms that this place has its own energy. Something different from cursed energy... but compatible, this could be mana." Subaru crossed his arms, assessing the potential implications of this discovery.

"Hmm... would it be useful if I learned to use this energy?" he murmured to himself, observing the particles in the air. "But... how am I supposed to do it?"

He knew he couldn't pass up this opportunity, though he also understood that he still lacked the information to take advantage of it. For now, he decided to simply observe and experience different things, while continuing to search for answers in this strange world.

Putting his glasses back on, Subaru stood up, ready to continue exploring. This discovery, though intriguing, was just one more piece of the enormous puzzle before him.

Este descubrimiento, aunque intrigante, era solo una pieza más del enorme rompecabezas que tenía ante sí.

Shortly after taking in his surroundings, he looked again at the 'dinosaurs' being used for transportation or carrying things.

"I guess they have their own methods for domesticating creatures like that. It's as if everything is adapted for their own kind of progress..." he thought, trying to find some connection he could use to orient himself. Finally, he exhaled deeply.

If things followed the typical course he had imagined when dreaming of being summoned to another world, he should be able to use his modern knowledge to excel, but right now, nothing seemed to make sense.

"The truth is, I have no idea what to do now. I don't even know how or why I was summoned."Subaru threw up his hands in frustration, looking up at the sky as if waiting for a divine answer.

There were no signs of magic mirrors, glowing portals, or mysterious pools. And if this was the kind of summoning he was used to, where was the person who had brought him here?

"Would a girl have summoned me?" he asked aloud, scoffing at his own idea as he crossed his arms.

The lack of a heroine in this situation completely shattered any expectations. If this were a 2D world, someone in the creative department was definitely doing a poor job.

"Well, they summoned me for no reason and left me stranded here? That puts me on the level of a disposable object. And not even a useful one!"

Gojo laughed to himself, but his laughter had a bitter undertone.

He looked around, trying to decide what his next move would be. Despite his carefree attitude, uncertainty was beginning to creep in. If he was going to survive here, he needed more information...

*Sigh* "I guess if I keep this up, it'll be no different than sleeping or idling at school or at home," he said to himself, his tone resigned.

The thought of his parents briefly crossed his mind, but Subaru shook his head. He wasn't in a position where he could allow himself to sit back and feel nostalgic. He needed to act.

Thinking he had to do something about the current situation, he stood up and turned back toward the main street.

"It's settled. I have to move and find out what's going on," he thought, as he stood up and turned toward the main street.

However, just as he took his first steps, a person unexpectedly stood next to him, so close that it made Subaru flinch from the proximity.

"Oh! Idiot, can't you see?! the sorcerer spat in an annoyed tone.

The figure, a person of calm demeanor but with a somewhat intimidating presence, turned his head slightly toward Subaru, as if barely registering his existence.

"You were the one in the way, kid," he replied in an annoyed tone, making Subaru even more irritated.

"Oh, yeah? Well, who gets so close without warning?" he retorted sarcastically, rolling his eyes.

The stranger did not respond immediately; instead, he observed him closely. His gaze made the sorcerer feel an even greater dislike for that person.

"You don't look like you're from around here..." The man said in a low voice, though loud enough for Subaru to hear.

At that moment, Gojo looked him up and down. At this, the man frowned, trying to maintain a calm facade, but he couldn't help but feel slightly uncomfortable.

The feeling of being analyzed from head to toe by the boy's hidden gaze was unsettling.

"What's going on? Why do I feel like this guy is looking at every corner of me?" he thought, a cold sweat running down his back.

Then the mini albino broke the silence, his tone slightly laced with sarcasm and frustration.

"So?! Is that a crime now? You know? I can go wherever I want!"

He replied with the intention of sounding threatening, but he sincerely wanted to vent his anger and frustration, and this person was the only option. So, he was going to get beaten up.

"Hey! Hey! This guy's resisting," the man said before stepping back for support.Subaru looks at this person, self-named as the biggest fool.

Then the sorcerer felt a firm hand grab his shoulder, pulling him back, even though the force had barely managed to wrinkle his uniform.

«This guy's probably super-dumb,» he concluded.

The burly man looked at his companion with an expression of doubt and uncertainty. But before they could even make a move.

Someone else appeared on the scene. Behind the super-dumb, a man shorter than the other two members stood in front of him.

«Ah, the last member, he looks like he's the dumbest,» he thought, this time with a touch of amusement..

"What is this? An impromptu show? Are they going to take turns trying to intimidate me? Because I have to say it, they're not achieving anything." Subaru smiled broadly as he analyzed the three idiots.

The way they moved spoke of experience; clearly, this wasn't the first time they'd staged an ambush like this, but right now, none of the three idiots moved a single muscle in the presence of someone like Gojo; rather, they seemed confident against him.

«...Well, if they don't run away, so much the better for me.»

Subaru was prepared. He watched the energy/mana flows of those three, noting that none of them seemed to possess special abilities or any kind of power worth worrying about.

Noticing this, his smile tinged with malice disguised as amusement.

"Hehe..! Hey? Can I ask what you three are planning against me? Are you some kind of welcoming committee? Because I have to say, you're not accomplishing anything." Subaru smiled broadly, having analyzed the three idiots.

He tilted his head slightly while maintaining a sarcastic tone and an enthusiastic, mischievous smile.

The super-dumb of the group took the initiative. It seemed to be the leader of the group who frowned at the guy's careless attitude.

Gritting his teeth, he tried to maintain his composure in the face of the provocations.

"Idiot, this isn't a joke! You're asking for trouble," he said, with a raspy voice and sharp gaze, as he took a step forward, trying to assert himself.

Subaru, for his part, maintained a relaxed demeanor, though he slightly adjusted his glasses so that his Six Eyes ability could analyze the three idiots.

His gaze captured every detail: from the tension in the big guy's muscles to the nervous movements of the third, who kept one hand near his pocket, as if he were preparing for something.

As for the super-fool, he stepped forward without hesitation, his face hardened.

"Hey, you know what? Today's your lucky day! You see, I can't waste any more time, so if you'll let me start, I might consider not teaching you a lesson," he commented with a boastful tone.

"Shut your mouth, four eyes! We'll do you a favor by taking off those fancy things you're wearing." His tone was deep, almost husky, as he extended a hand toward Subaru, probably aiming for his glasses or his clothes.

At that, the sorcerer let out a soft laugh, as if enjoying the situation.

"Robbing me? Really? Is that how you spend your free time in this world? How original." He crossed his arms, completely ignoring the obvious danger.

A bigger fool stepped forward and pulled out a knife.

"Stop talking and make it easy for us, friend. You don't want things to get ugly," he pointed a knife.

"Look, I'll make it simple for you. If you let me through right now, I promise you won't have to regret it."

The leader frowned and lunged at him, clearly losing his patience. At that, Subaru took a small step to the side, dodging him with almost insulting ease.

"You know, I think you underestimated the wrong person," he commented, leaning forward slightly, his smile wider now.

The Six Eyes flashed for a moment behind his glasses. Subaru extended a hand, and in an instant, an invisible, crushing pressure enveloped the three men, who fell to the ground.

"......"

This was due to the sorcerer using his ritual to slightly adjust the gravity on the trio of idiots..

"Well, friends, how about you stay here and think about your life choices while I get on with my day?" He said in a playful tone, but the intensity in his gaze made it clear he wasn't joking, while they lay on the floor, unable to move an inch.

"Hehe! What's going on? Looks like you found some gold coins."

With a smile that oscillated between mockery and contempt, Subaru watched the three struggle uselessly against the pressure that kept them pinned to the ground.

The invisible force he exerted on them wasn't overwhelming enough to harm them, but it was enough to make them feel the weight of his decisions and his clear superiority at that moment.

"I told you I don't like unnecessary trouble, didn't I?" Watching them like insects, Subaru, out of compassion, decided not to squash them completely, at least for now.

"It seems you three were very interested in our interaction ending in a... memorable way."

The men tried to retort, but the pressure briefly increased, forcing them to remain silent. And with a dramatic sigh, Subaru reacted with disappointment.

"Listen, I don't want to be the villain in your story, you know? But this is what happens when you upset someone with a worse day than yours. Now then..."

He gestured with his hand, as if adjusting a dial, and the pressure eased slightly.

"How about you take advantage of this moment of forced introspection to reconsider your priorities in life?"

The most foolish of the group, between gasps, managed to mutter something.

"Who... the hell... are you?!"

Subaru placed a hand on his chin, pretending to think about it for a moment, before answering with a sharp smile.

"I'm just a guy tired of being underestimated, you know what I mean."

With a snap of his fingers, the sorcerer dissipated the pressure, allowing the trembling and confused men to begin to rise.

Before they could even attempt anything, Subaru tilted his head slightly, his Six Eyes glowing faintly behind his glasses.

"By the way, my generosity isn't free," Gojo said with a threat, laced with superiority.

The group's leader, still reeling from the pressure exerted earlier, looked at him with obvious fear.

His companions, unable to bear the intensity of the situation, were already on their knees, trembling as if an invisible weight still weighed them down.

"W-what do you need to know?" the leader stammered, trying to maintain some dignity but failing miserably.

Subaru, relishing the power he had over them, placed a hand on his chin in mock reflection.

"First... I want to know the name of this place," he began, his tone playful but with an air of threat that didn't go unnoticed by the three men.

"And second... where are we, really?" he added, leaning forward slightly to observe the leader's reaction with his Six Eyes, analyzing every tiny change in his posture and energy.

The leader swallowed hard, struggling to find his voice.

"Th-this is Lugunika... we're in the kingdom's capital," he finally answered, his gaze fixed on the ground, unable to sustain Subaru's intensity.

"Lugunica, huh?" Subaru straightened and rubbed his chin, feigning interest. "Sounds exotic. Anything else I should know about this place?"

The two kneeling men quickly raised their heads, stammering a mixture of apologies and fragments of incoherent information about the city and the kingdom, hoping it would be enough to appease Subaru.

At that, it must have worked, because shortly after, Gojo smiled, satisfied.

"Wow, how cooperative. Maybe you're not so useless after all." Then, he turned to leave, leaving the three men paralyzed with fear.

"Oh, by the way, if I see you causing trouble again..." He paused and gave them a look that seemed to pierce their souls. "You won't be lucky enough to just kneel. Understand?"

The three men nodded frantically, silently thankful that their encounter with Subaru hadn't ended worse.

Turning around, Gojo began walking toward the alley's exit, raising a hand in farewell without looking back.

"Have a great day, guys! Remember, your lives can get better... if you try hard enough!"

His tone was sarcastic, as if he enjoyed leaving them with one last taunt before disappearing. But then...

"Hey! Get out of the way! Get out of the way! I'm talking to you! Move it!"

The high-pitched, nervous voice echoed in the narrow alleyway.

Subaru, along with the men still on the ground, turned their heads toward the source of the scream. At that moment, they saw a small figure running straight toward them.

It was a young girl, with long, golden hair that shone even in the dimness of the alley.

Her red eyes burned with determination, and a canine tooth peeked out of her smile, giving her a mischievous air. Her appearance, however, didn't match the urgency in her expression.

Gojo watched her with growing interest as the girl executed her daring escape. There was something about her, an air of brazen confidence that contrasted with her youthful appearance.

The Six Eyes picked up several details that seemed curious: the faint glow of the gem in her hand, the constant flow of energy emanating from her body, and the luminous aura that seemed to envelop her.

It wasn't something ordinary, especially compared to the three idiots who barely seemed to have any presence. At that, the girl stopped, seeing the three men on the floor.

("Interesting... She's definitely not a normal girl. This could be entertaining.")

"Whoa! Looks like you three are in a bind, but I'm sorry! I have my hands full right now! Good luck! Live life to the fullest!" the girl says as she walks away from the three.

"Wait, what?! Are you serious?!" the dumbest one yelled, his eyes wide.

"Don't go!" Super-Dumbass begged, trying to regain his composure.

"No, please, save us from this guy!" the last one shrieked, more desperate than the others.

However, his cries only echoed in the empty air.

Subaru's smug smile widened even further as he watched the girl disappear, realizing she wasn't going to intervene.

"Sorry! Looks like today isn't your lucky day," Subaru commented, shaking his head in mock pity.

Leaving them behind, the girl reached the end of the alley. At that, she skillfully kicked a wooden plank against the wall, using it as leverage to grab onto the edge of a roof.

With fluid, practiced movements, she soared over the wall and disappeared completely from sight.

Subaru let out a low whistle of admiration, looking back at the spot where he'd been.

"That girl... she's definitely not normal," he muttered to himself.

After that brief analysis, his attention returned to the three men, who now seemed on the verge of collapse.

"Oooh, come on, really? They've already given up? They didn't even try to put up a decent fight. Honestly, I expected more drama from them."

The sorcerer looked at the three men, who hadn't moved an inch, remaining in the same position as before.

They were kneeling in front of him, clearly defeated both physically and mentally. Subaru smiled, assessing their pathetic mentality.

The leader of the group, the most foolish of all, raised his head, his eyes filled with panic, sweating profusely as he tried to speak.

"W-we're so sorry! We won't do it again! We swear!" Bowing so low, his forehead touched the ground.

The second, a super-duper, nodded frantically and joined the chorus of pleas.

"Please forgive us! We really didn't mean to upset you! It was a mistake, we swear!"

Finally, the third, the dumbest, raised his hands in a desperate gesture, as if pleading for his life.

"Have mercy on us, sir! We promise we'll never mess with anyone again!"

Subaru watched them silently for a few seconds, intentionally letting the tension rise.

Then he let out a sigh, shaking his head.

"Aaah! How boring! I thought you'd have some dignity, but just look at you, begging as if that's going to change."

He slowly approached the leader, who was visibly trembling, and spoke in an almost whisper.

"Listen carefully. I don't mind if you try to rob or intimidate someone, as long as you don't completely suck at it. But if I see you doing something as stupid as this again... well," Subaru paused, letting his smile grow more sinister, "maybe I'll decide your lives aren't worth as much as you think they are."

The air seemed to freeze for a moment, until Gojo stepped back and held out his hands in a nonchalant gesture.

"But hey, I'm not a monster. You're in luck today, so live so you don't disappoint me next time, understood?"

The three men nodded quickly, murmuring thanks and promises of amends as they clumsily walked away, stumbling over each other.

Subaru watched them go before returning his attention to the roof where the girl had disappeared.

"Nothing interesting to do. What else does this world have to offer me?"

With a confident smile and his hands in his pockets, Subaru prepares to leave the alley to find out, heading into the unknown.

"Stop right there, you scoundrel!"

The voice cut through the noise, causing Subaru's own breathing to become somewhat labored.

"Wow, do princesses also wander through alleys like this?" he said to the girl, sensing that this encounter would bring more than meets the eye.

"I won't tolerate and will watch any more of your misdeeds. That's enough."

Before going straight to the girl, Gojo paused for a moment and answered.

"What the hell are you talking about? Are you talking about the beating I gave those idiots?!" He replied without interest, then raised an eyebrow, clearly confused.

"Hey, give back what you stole. Please, it's very important to me. If you stop right now, I'll let you go. In a way, it's my fault for not being careful. So do the right thing."

Subaru crossed his arms, grimacing slightly. "Stealing? Are you talking about those three idiots? Please... if anything, I did them a favor by taking away what little dignity they had."

The girl, however, didn't change her posture, maintaining a steady, somewhat serious gaze. "That's not what I meant," before retorting accusingly. "And what do you mean, you hit someone?! That's something I can't ignore."

In contrast, the sorcerer raised an eyebrow, surprised by her reaction. "Hitting? If you're referring to those guys, they deserve nothing more than what I gave them. They asked for it."

"That's out of place. But that's not the only thing I care about. It's what you're carrying with you."

The sorcerer frowned, confused. "What are you implying? Do you think I stole something from them? I haven't taken anything that isn't mine!" He said angrily.

The girl's posture stiffened for a moment at Subaru's behavior. Then an air of authority escaped his lips.

"What I'm talking about is a gem that fits this size. It's an object of great value. Return it right now."

*He holds up his hand to demonstrate the object's size*

"That's it! Ahh, yes! I saw something similar. A girl appeared out of nowhere with something in her hand," the sorcerer, unfazed, shrugged as if it were no big deal.

"Really?!" she exclaimed, surprised, her voice trembling slightly with anxiety. "Where did she go?!"

Subaru, showing no hurry or concern, raised his hand and pointed to the sky. "Heh, she went over the rooftops," he said as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

"Oh! Really?" the girl asked in her bell-like voice, still in disbelief at what she had just heard.

Without a second thought, she turned her gaze toward the rooftops, as if she thought staring intently would reveal some clue. But after a moment of hesitation,

She decided to circle the alley, taking the path around to find the girl and retrieve the object.

Subaru watched her silently, feeling the situation was too perfect to pass up. So, with a mischievous smile, he decided to play a joke.

"Hey? How about we go for a walk?!" In a flash, he stepped forward and, with a swift and precise movement, took her arm.

"Mhm?"

"Come on, don't be scared," he said playfully, making sure his words would resonate in the quiet of the alley.

The girl turned around in surprise, her face filled with bewilderment, and for a moment, she didn't understand what was happening. Before she could react, Subaru already had her by the wrist.

Effortlessly, he lifted her off the ground and nimbly hoisted her onto the roof of the nearby house.

"AAAAHHHH!" A shriek with its distinctive chime echoed in the alley as the breeze engulfed her.

Her reaction was completely instinctive: a stifled gasp of surprise and terror at being lifted so suddenly.

Subaru watched her, amused by the girl's reaction as he held her firmly in his grasp. "It's not so bad, is it?" he joked as he guided her over the edge of the roof, enjoying the unexpected chaos he had just created.

The girl, half scared and half furious, tried to stand her ground while looking at him with a mixture of discomfort. "What the hell?! Why did you do that?!"

Subaru ignored her scream, yet his face grew somewhat calmer as he took in the girl's expression.

"Relax, in a couple of minutes you'll have forgotten your fear," he said, with a confident smile and a slight hint of mockery in his tone.

The girl looked around, still processing what had just happened, but she didn't seem as confident as before. Subaru had managed to surprise her, and although the situation wasn't what she expected, something inside her told her this encounter wouldn't be the last.

Well, we're starting again. There were a few changes, but they were minimal, because I really enjoyed this first act.

In the next chapters, I've also added a few other things. That's all for now.

I'd also like to add that from now on, chapters will be between 10,000 and 15,000 words maximum.

I'll also be checking to see if the translation has improved, so I'll be keeping an eye on your comments.

That's all for now.

Chapter 2: Arc 1: Summoning the Strongest: Unstable Relationships

Chapter Text

In those tense moments, the distortion around the girl began to take shape in a disturbing way, although Subaru decided to ignore it completely, pointing towards the horizon with a carefree smile.

"ha, look, that is snotty girl who stole that thing from you!" he said lightly, pointing at an agile figure leaping between the rooftops in the distance.

The silver-haired girl quickly turned her head in the indicated direction. Her violet eyes shone with determination as she watched the small figure moving like a feline.

"It's her!" he exclaimed without hesitation. A second later he tried to move to follow her, but after only a couple of steps, his unsteady movements betrayed his lack of experience walking on rooftops.

And, still stunned by Subaru's sudden actions, her balance seemed very precarious, while he, observing her clumsiness, spoke in an exasperated tone.

"Dah! You're so slow! At that speed, That criminal is going to escape," he said in an accusatory tone. Without giving her time to react, he added, this time with a boastful air.

"Don't worry, I'll help you! I won't let him get away with it."

"Wait! Wait! Don't do anything!" She tried to stop the boy by extending a hand toward him, but Subaru had already swiftly raised his own.

"Avante Ritual: Blue"

He declared firmly, as a bluish orb emerged from his palm and shot toward the fleeing figure.

"Flisssh"

The silver-haired girl reacted with alarm, seeing how that orb consumed the tiles, creating a blue whirlwind.

"What the hell is that thing!" The criminal, realizing the danger, reacted with her canine reflexes, leaping to the side with impressive agility, letting the orb pass dangerously close to her.

*Crash*

The impact of the failed orb was devastating. It struck a nearby house, shattering part of the structure with a deafening noise that reverberated throughout the alley.

.....!!!

Dust and debris flew in all directions, raining down on unsuspecting shopkeepers and pedestrians who screamed in panic as they tried to get out of the way.

Some were trapped under the wreckage, though thankfully none appeared to be seriously injured.

"Oh, I failed," he remarked indifferently, shrugging his shoulders, completely oblivious to the disaster he had just caused. believing his Ritual had vanished since he hadn't caught the girl.

"Hehe! That girl is fast!" Her tone was light, as if she'd just lost a simple game. "Did you see that? She dodged my technique quite easily. You don't see that very often."

"B-But...!"

"Hmm, is something wrong?"

"What did you do?! You could have killed her! And look what you did to the house! There are injured people, you idiot!" she exclaimed, pointing at the rubble where shopkeepers and pedestrians were trapped, her voice breaking with a mixture of alarm and disbelief.

Subaru glanced at her, confused.

"Kill? Nah! That girl jumped like she was training for the Olympics. Didn't you see how she kept running perfectly after that?"

The girl was on the verge of collapse. Her incredulous gaze shifted to the rubble of the destroyed house, where several people were trying to piece themselves together amidst the dust and fallen debris.

"This isn't a game! How could you do that?!" he shouted, gesturing to the chaos around him. "There are people trapped in that rubble, all because you decided to throw that thing!"

Gojo raised an eyebrow, still incredulous. "Debris? Trapped people? What on earth are you talking about?"

"Look at that place...!" The girl pointed at the destruction the mini albino had caused, and he finally looked around and noticed the mess.

His expression shifted from indifference to mild astonishment. "Oh... Wow! Did I do that? Heh, I didn't even notice."

"You didn't even notice?! How could you be so oblivious?!" the girl exclaimed, her voice trembling with shock.

"Calm down, calm down, it's not a big deal. Nobody died, right? Besides, technically, I was helping you... wasn't I?" he said with a smile that was meant to be charming, but only managed to irritate her more.

"I don't need that kind of help if it means causing chaos!" "I'll go help those people!" she retorted, looking at him reproachfully. Subaru simply placed his hand on his chin and snapped his fingers in response.

"Come on, look on the bright side," he said, his tone unhelpful. "If you think about it... at least they have extra ventilation in that house now. I'm sure they'll appreciate it in the summer.

The silver-haired girl opened her amethyst eyes and stopped short at that response.

All I got from Subaru was a smile, which remained intact despite his growing anger.

"Extra ventilation?! Is that the best you can come up with to justify that?!"

Subaru nodded, as if it were the most logical thing in the world.

"That's right, now shopkeepers have a good excuse to close early. Isn't that a good thing? We all love a day off."

"This is ridiculous!" she shouts, her patience exhausted. "These people are suffering, and you’re talking about ‘days off’ and ‘ventilation’ as if it’s the most normal thing in the world!"

"Heh, well, okay, I admit it. Maybe it wasn't my best idea... But hey, in my defense, nobody warned me that the roofs around here were so fragile! This is more of a construction problem, don't you think?" he added with a hint of irony.

"Construction problem?! The problem is you!" he retorted, turning sharply and climbing down from the roof to help the affected people.

Determined not to waste any more time arguing with someone so careless, the young mixed-race woman walked away from him, as did the criminal, who slipped away through the alleyways leaving a cloud of dust behind her.

"Tch! Are all people here equally sensitive...?. Hmm, I guess I don't understand the importance of the great experiment I did," he muttered, as if he were convinced that his logic was irrefutable.

"Whatever, it doesn't matter! I think my part is done," he added with a satisfied smile, giving the shattered ceiling one last look.

With a fluid movement, she leaped down, landing with an elegance that starkly contrasted with the chaos she had just caused.

The alley was silent, save for the distant murmur of shopkeepers trying to retrieve their belongings.

Subaru didn't stop; he simply shoved his hands in his pockets and began walking in the same direction the thief had taken moments before.

(Where am I supposed to go now? I suppose I can head to an adventurers' guild to start my first quest.)

-

The silver-haired girl glanced back at the street, making sure no one had been hurt.

She sighed for a moment, feeling her shoulders relax, relieved that no one had been injured.

"That was close..." *Gulp* However, the relief quickly faded.

She looked up at the ceiling where the carefree boy had been standing, only to find it empty.

"He's gone?!" she murmured, frowning in concern. A sense of urgency washed over her, and without hesitation, she reached for the green gem embedded in the chest of her garment.

She closed her eyes with determination, and the air around her seemed to vibrate, as if an invisible energy were altering the atmosphere.

Suddenly, particles of light began to gather in front of her, swirling in a small vortex until they formed the shape of a small, adorable cat.

Its fur was mostly gray, with silvery flecks at the tips of its tail and ears. Its rosy cheeks and the gold stud in its left ear added an elegant and peculiar touch.

"Puck!" the girl exclaimed urgently. "¿Where did that boy go?

The little spirit, who was stretching with the calm of someone who doesn't share the same worry, tilted his head and looked at her with serene eyes.

"Relax, Lia," he replied in a soft, almost lazy voice. "That rowdy boy can't be far. Let me sniff around a bit..." He closed his eyes and his whiskers trembled slightly as he focused his magical perception.

After a few seconds, Puck opened one eye and pointed with a paw toward a nearby alley.

"He went that way. But... do you really need to go after him? His energy is chaotic. He reeks of trouble."

The girl looked at him firmly, her expression filled with determination.

"I can't leave him alone, Puck! That boy already caused a mess, and if he keeps acting on his own, he could cause something even worse."

As she walked down the alley, following Puck's directions, the sounds of the market began to fade, replaced by the echo of her footsteps on the cobblestones and the whisper of the wind through the buildings.

("Where did he go?") The tension in her chest grew with each step. She couldn't allow that boy to cause any more trouble.

Puck, from his shoulder, calmly observed the surroundings, although his ears moved restlessly.

"You know, Lia? That energy I felt from him... it's not normal. It wasn't magic, and it didn't resemble any damned thing. It's like it's something different... Maybe it doesn't belong around here."

"Does that mean he doesn't belong in Lugunica?"

Puck moved a little closer. "That could be true. And that makes him even more unpredictable. You saw with your own eyes how he acts, didn't you? He didn't even seem concerned about what he was doing. As if this were all just a game to him."

"I did notice!" she replied seriously. "That's why I need to catch him before he does something worse!"

Suddenly, a noise caught her attention. A carefree laugh echoed from a corner ahead.

She quickened her pace, turning a corner, and there she found him: Subaru was sitting on a barrel, playing with an 'Appa' that he was spinning between his fingers, shortly after biting it.

"Ah! You caught up with me, I think I lost, hehe!" he said upon seeing her, as if he had lost a game of hide-and-seek. "Hey! I thought you'd take longer helping the injured?" His tone was playful, almost mocking, before he bit into the 'Appa' and said...

"Hmm, it tastes just like an apple, so just change the name. What a rip-off... The rules of other worlds are awful."

"Why did you leave?! Don't you have any sense of responsibility?!" she challenged him, walking firmly toward his. "People were seriously hurt because of your carelessness. Be more careful?"

"Why did you leave?! Don't you have any sense of responsibility?!" she demanded, walking firmly toward his. "People were seriously hurt because of your carelessness. You need to be more responsible"

Subaru raised an eyebrow, feigning offense. "Careless? Me? It was just a botched experiment, and come on, nobody died, there's no need to be so dramatic.

Puck snorted from behind her shoulder. "You're a lost cause, kid. Are you always this insensitive?"

"Insensitive? Come on, magic kitty, don't exaggerate. I'm sure no one will remember this tomorrow."

"I don't understand. How can you be so irresponsible? If you don't know what you're doing, then stop getting involved in things you don't understand!"

"Hmm, maybe you're right? Anyway, the thief got away, but at least I tried something, right? And a word of advice, you should go look for her instead of bothering me."

The girl looked at him with a mixture of frustration and skepticism, crossing her arms.

"That doesn't excuse the chaos you caused. You didn't even think about the consequences! Whether the thief escaped or not, it was because you didn't take even the slightest precaution. That whole mess was your fault!"

Puck, perched on the girl's shoulder, snorted disdainfully. "Always the same old 'I did it to prevent something worse' spiel. That's just an excuse to justify your mistakes, kid."

The girl stared at him for a moment and, without saying a word, took his hand, keeping her gaze fixed on the mini albino.

"I don't care how you see it! The next time you do something so irresponsible, I won't hesitate to intervene. This isn't a game! Now, you're staying with me until I decide what to do with you."

"Okay, I understand. But you know, I'm the type who can't stand still when things get complicated. In the end, I'm a person who likes to help those in need."

Puck shook his head and sighed. "You'll never learn, will you?"

Despite the frustration still coursing through her body, the girl huffed and took a step back, trying not to let her anger get the better of her.

She knew they would have to deal with this boy somehow, but she couldn't let him get away with it.

While she was deciding who deserved his attention, Subaru stared intently into her eyes, adjusting his glasses with a defiant gesture.

"Hehe, well, how about we play hide-and-seek and you catch me? If you manage to catch me, I might consider helping you."

Without warning, a flash appeared and his figure vanished in the blink of an eye. The little albino had disappeared, leaving behind a trail of radiance that dazzled the girl and the cat.

They both stood in silence, astonished by the boy's speed and the amazing flash he left behind.

The girl made a face, somewhat weary of not having been able to do anything to stop his escape. Puck, perched on her shoulder, couldn't help but sigh.

"Lia, this boy..." the cat murmured, his ears twitching, "If you don't learn to control him, he's going to get into more trouble than you can handle."

She could be more cunning next time. The boy seemed to have a knack for escaping situations, so she couldn't underestimate him, but she also wouldn't let that get in the way.

"Puck!" she exclaimed with determination, once again. "Where did he go again?"

The magical cat snorted and began scanning the air, a glint in its eyes. Its ears twitched rapidly, picking up on every tiny change in the atmosphere.

It was clear that something peculiar had been left behind after Subaru's disappearance, a strange energy that didn't belong to this world.

After a few seconds of silence, Puck let out a sigh. "Lia went that way," it said, gesturing with its tail toward the edge of the alley.

Without hesitation, the girl approached with purpose. She couldn't let someone like him escape, especially after the chaos he'd left behind.

Without another thought, she set off with her distinctive footsteps toward the alley's exit.

The bustle of the city quickly enveloped her as she moved forward, people moving about oblivious to what was happening around them.

"Where is he?" she asked quietly, peering through the crowd. Puck, perched on her shoulder, watched with twinkling eyes, his tone somewhat worried.

"Li, you should think twice before following him. That boy isn't someone you should mess with."

She completely ignored him, focused on picking up the boy's trail. The cat hissed and muttered something under his breath, but didn't press the matter further.

With a firm step, she advanced with an almost ethereal grace, gliding nimbly through the crowd. Each step seemed measured, determined, as if she were prepared to let nothing and no one stop her.

"I'm not going to let her leave without apologizing for what she caused, or at least saying she's sorry for what she did," she murmured, her voice filled with resolve.

Her gaze intensified, and with every inch she advanced, she felt the frustration of their previous encounter transform into a more powerful force, propelling her forward.

----

Finally, after a while of searching, the girl managed to locate the albino again. There he was, leaning against a wall, a slight grimace on his face as he noticed her.

However, in the blink of an eye, the grimace transformed into a playful and cheeky grin. "Oh, heh, I see what's going on," he commented, with an amused and sarcastic tone.

"You think I'm so handsome you can't stop staring at me, don't you?" he said, striking an exaggerated pose, raising a hand to mimic a supermodel's stance.

"That's right!" After raising her hand and wagging her finger.

"Don't even think I'm going to help you find that brat. It's obvious that pocket cat is helping you find me, so it doesn't count. The best I can give you is an autograph, then you'll leave me alone! Okay?" She bowed, as if she were on a stage.

Puck snorted disdainfully from his shoulder. "Really? You've got a really childish attitude, buddy." The girl, though annoyed, couldn't help but feel frustration and disbelief mixing on her face.

Although the girl wanted to contradict him, something about the boy's demeanor stopped her, as if he weren't the type to give up easily.

"Anyway, I didn't understand what you meant by autograph, but you're coming with me right now and apologizing to those people," he replied, his tone firm but now more controlled.

Subaru, still in his exaggerated pose, let out an amused chuckle, lowering his hand and looking at the girl with a mixture of defiance and disdain.

"What?! Are you trying to drag me away by force? Don't make me laugh, HAHAHA!" she said, running a hand through her hair in a nonchalant manner.

"You know what? I'm not one to apologize just because someone asks for it. If you want an apology, you're going to have to work a little harder to get me to do it."

Puck snorted from her shoulder, clearly exasperated. "Lia, he's not going to apologize just because you ask him to! Can't you see he's a lost cause?"

The girl watched him, choosing her words carefully. The boy wasn't easy to deal with, but she'd come this far, and she wasn't going to let him get away with it.

"I'm telling you again, you're coming with me right now!" she said firmly, taking a step toward him. "And if you don't cooperate, I'll have no choice but to do things my way. And I assure you, it won't be pleasant."

Subaru looked at her for a moment, assessing the seriousness in her eyes, and although her smile didn't disappear, the arrogance in her posture lessened slightly. It seemed she was at least considering her words.

"Do you really think you can force me to do something I don't want to?" he asked, this time in a more measured tone.

Puck, his tail held high and his eyes gleaming with malice, took a small leap forward, adopting a more defiant stance.

"I don't think you understand, kid! You're seriously underestimating a spirit like me!"

His voice held a palpable threat, as ice emanated from the feline, making the atmosphere feel suffocating.

"What the hell is going on...?

"Look! That's not a spirit...!"

"It can't be...! Is it one of the four spirits?"

"Damn it! Call the guards!"

At that, the people nearby began to move away quickly, evidently frightened by the presence of the cat, because they knew that it was not a simple feline, but a powerful spirit known as "The Beast of the End".

Subaru, unfazed, let out a mocking laugh and crossed his arms dismissively.

"Friend, I've seen cursed spirits bigger and scarier than you," he replied confidently. "I think you're the one who doesn't understand!"

The tension between the two was about to explode, and the girl intervened with her bell-like voice.

"Enough!" he shouted, looking determinedly at them both and standing in front of them. "This is pointless! What's the point of continuing to argue like this? Stop it now!"

They were both silent for a moment, surprised by the authority in his voice. Subaru raised an eyebrow, but his expression suggested he wouldn't back down.

"Oh, really?! And who do you think you are to stop me?" he said, without losing his teasing tone.

Puck, still tense, stared at the girl, his gaze a mixture of respect and reluctance.

"Lia, this guy has no regard for others!" the cat murmured to the girl.

As for her, she crossed her arms and looked at her spirit with a determined expression.

"And you think the best way to stop him is to destroy the whole place?" she said reproachfully, addressing the cat-like spirit.

"Puck! Don't think for a second that all this will be resolved with more chaos."

Upon hearing this, the feline frowned and shrank slightly. It seemed as if it was about to reply, but then Subaru, with his classic grin, interrupted.

"Exactly, feline!" he said playfully. "Listen to your owner if you don't want to get hurt. Hehehe!"

The girl spun around quickly toward Subaru, her face still tense from the situation, as the atmosphere heated up again.

Puck, visibly annoyed, arched his back, showing his claws, as if he were about to leap, but stopped when he saw the girl's determined gaze again. "Hey, Lia, this isn't a joke."

"Hahaha! You know, it's best not to mess with someone who doesn't know when to stop," Subaru said, showing not a hint of concern.

The heavy silence between them continued, as both sides mediated each other, as if expecting any word to reignite the tension. The girl, taking deep breaths, struggled to remain calm, knowing the situation could still spiral out of control.

Subaru, seeing that the atmosphere was relaxing a bit, made a slight movement with his hand, as if he wanted to get rid of all that unnecessary chatter.

"I think my playtime is over. Goodbye!" he said, waving his hand in a careless gesture.

At that, the girl, with a firm step, stopped him. "Where do you think you're going?!" her bell-like voice sounded authoritative.

"You must apologize to the people you hurt. You can't just run away from your responsibilities!"

Subaru, clearly annoyed by the whole thing, glanced at her sideways, his expression turning frustrated, but still somewhat playful.

"I have a mission to complete," he said disdainfully, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "So tell them I apologize for me... or whatever."

The girl frowned at his response; both of their patience was wearing thin.

"It's not that easy! You can't go through life doing whatever you please and then run away without facing the consequences! Accept what you did, even if just for a moment," she insisted firmly, never breaking eye contact.

Subaru, upon hearing her, tilted his head with a disinterested expression, as if what she was saying had no impact whatsoever.

"You didn't hear me right, did you?!" he said disdainfully. "I have a mission to accomplish. I don't care what happens to the weak. I have my own problems!"

The girl stared at him, shocked after hearing those words. The frustration on her face turned to momentary shock as he responded with complete indifference.

"And you think your problems are more important than other people's?!" this time she asked, her tone alarmed.

Subaru, with a slight grimace, didn't hesitate for a second before answering. "Yes, I believe it! My problems are the ones that really matter!"

The air grew even thicker with the tension building between them. The girl stared at him, her eyes flashing with fury, unsure whether she wanted to yell at him to leave her there alone.

To escape the awkward moment, Subaru searched for ways to change the subject, suddenly pulling out a small box he'd brought with him from his other world.

"Uh... What's that?" The girl was clearly angry, but she raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"Oh, you don't know?" Subaru asked, showing the box with an air of mystery.

She shook her head, and Puck, perched on her shoulder, also shook his head silently, watching with a mixture of caution and curiosity. Subaru smiled almost sinisterly and, with a flick of his wrist, opened it.

Inside was a dark object, almost imperceptible to the naked eye, but enough to cause an immediate reaction...

"Aaaahhh!!" The girl shuddered.

It was a kind of finger, and an immediate wave of disgust washed over her. The object seemed to carry a disturbing feeling that filled her with fear and nausea.

Unable to understand what it was, she trusted her instincts and looked away. The feline, however, opened its eyes wide upon seeing the contents of the box.

It was similar to the energy emanating from the albino, but the object was deeply unsettling, and he knew the boy had something very dangerous in his hands.

The atmosphere grew tense as the two of them confronted the disturbing revelation of what Subaru had brought with him, and he, seeing their reactions, didn't seem the least bit bothered.

Calmly and without a trace of emotion on his face, he explained:

"This object is part of my mission. It's a finger from a curse called Ryomen Sukuna. He's known as the King of Curses."

The way he said it, as if he were talking about something trivial, only heightened the tension in the air. The girl, still not fully understanding what it meant, could sense the danger behind those words.

"Ryomen Sukuna?" she repeated, almost as if simply mentioning that name could summon something dark and dangerous.

Puck, visibly alarmed, thought to himself, ("Who is she talking about? I don't know anyone by that name, but she has an aura more malevolent than the Witch of Envy.")

His gaze settled on Subaru with growing suspicion.

That glint in his eyes, usually playful, had vanished, replaced by an intensity that only appeared when something truly serious was at stake.

"What do you plan to do with that object?!" he demanded, his tone grave and serious. "What is your mission with something so dangerous?!"

The feline waited with a certain tension for the albino's response, knowing that any word could change the course of the world from this moment forward.

And, as if it were the easiest thing in the world, Subaru replied with an unsettling calmness.

"As you can see, feline, this object is a task I was entrusted with, and my mission is to return it to the sorcery school as soon as possible. After all, it would be dangerous for a non-sorcerer to come across this."

Puck frowned, clearly suspicious of Subaru's words.

"And you think that leaving it there is enough to stop that thing?" the cat retorted, making no attempt to hide his distrust. "You have no idea what you're dealing with, do you?"

Subaru, unfazed, cast a calm glance at the cat. His face remained impassive, as if he didn't fully grasp the extent of Puck's concern.

"Relax," Gojo said, his tone inexplicably calm. "My family and other clans have always been involved in handling these kinds of things. It's nothing we can't control."

However, the way he continued to say it didn't convince either the girl or the cat.

The air between them grew thick with tension, as if Subaru didn't fully grasp the danger that object in his hands posed.

Puck, still on his guard, watched him with a mixture of distrust and concern, knowing that his arrogance might be causing him to underestimate something far greater than he imagined.

"That's not just a simple object! You're playing with something much bigger than you can imagine, you know?"

The girl, still silent, frowned as she analyzed Puck's words.

She didn't know much about what was happening, but the fear and alarm she had felt upon seeing that thing told her that things weren't as simple as the boy made them out to be.

"Nah, you're so superstitious! Everything's under control," he repeated, as if their warnings carried no weight. "Nothing's wrong, I just have to take it back and that's it, problem solved."

Puck looked at the albino for a moment, not sharing his confidence. His gaze was fixed. Subaru then put the item in his grocery bag and prepared to leave.

"Well, I'm off! I don't want to waste any more time," he said as he turned away.

something in the girl's chest made her hesitate. Her heart told her she couldn't let him go so easily, especially when he carried something so dangerous within him, and he himself was a walking danger; she would never forgive herself...

Her intuition warned her of this, urging her to make a quick decision. Without thinking of the consequences, he grabbed his arm firmly again, stopping him in his tracks.

"You're not going anywhere without me," he declared firmly. "You might end up hurting someone. Until you find those people, I'll be watching you. Until you hand that thing over, I'm not taking my eyes off you"

Her words were laced with an unexpected determination. She wasn't entirely sure why she'd said that.

Was it to protect the boy from what he was carrying, or to protect people from someone like him?

The answer wasn't clear in her mind, but she'd made up her mind and wasn't going to back down.

Subaru, for his part, looked at her with a mixture of surprise and amusement. His playful expression quickly returned as he made a sarcastic remark.

"Seriously?! You're going to help me deliver this thing? And what happened to the girl who stole from you? You're going to let her go, for me?" she added, making an exaggerated face of fake sadness.

"Pffft! Hahaha! You really are such an honorable person! You're making me cry with emotion, hahaha!" she said, bursting into laughter that only seemed to irritate the girl more.

However, she looked at him with a serious expression before replying, "No, I'm just getting a little sidetracked. Once I've helped you, I'll get back to what I was doing."

Subaru raised his hands in a gesture of surrender, displaying a nonchalant smile.

"Alright, alright. But if we're going to do this together, it would be best to start with the easiest part."

She raised an eyebrow. "What's the easiest thing to do, in your opinion?" Subaru crossed his arms and pointed with his index finger, as if he had a brilliant plan.

"First, we find the girl who stole from you, don't you think? If she's nearby, it's best to resolve that before things get more complicated. After that, we focus on my target," he said, subtly gesturing toward the box containing the cursed finger.

The girl sighed, as if she doubted the plan's feasibility, but she couldn't deny that it made sense.

"Okay. But try not to do anything that will make things worse. Understood?"

"Of course," Subaru said energetically. "What could possibly go wrong?" he added with a wide grin, causing the girl to let out a small sigh.

Part 3

A vast expanse, as white as snow, stretched as far as the eye could see.

The silence was deafening, broken only by the crunch of footsteps echoing in the void.

There, standing amidst that surreal landscape, a being observed his surroundings with bewilderment.

All of this contrasted sharply with the place he had always known: a bleak and dark world, filled with dried blood and animal skulls piled high in a heap that he himself had used to construct a grotesque throne—his throne.

Chaos reigned there, but here… Here everything seemed completely out of place, like a cruel joke.

The being stopped, its eyes wandering through the white monotony that surrounded it. Its hands clenched tightly, searching for some sign of familiarity. Finally, a question broke the silence.

"Where am I?"

His voice, deep and authoritative, echoed in the void, but received no response. However, something in the air shifted, a slight pressure that caused the being to frown.

A barely audible murmur began to rise, as if the place itself wanted to answer him, or perhaps mock his bewilderment.

"This is not a domain..." it seemed to whisper those words with conviction.

The being narrowed his eyes, his mind racing to understand what was happening.

Something or someone had dragged him from his realm, and this was no mere coincidence.

"Whoever did this will pay," he thought, his expression darkening.

He turned sharply, searching for something more than that endless white void, a sign that he wasn't alone in this strange place.

...

Soon after, he began to walk. His footsteps echoed in that infinite space, without echo, without direction.

There was no clear purpose in his movements, but something in his instinct told him he couldn't stay still.

The surroundings held no meaning for him; an endless expanse he neither understood nor cared to comprehend.

Solitude was nothing new. He had spent eons isolated, surrounded only by the echoes of his power and the ruins of his kingdom. This solitude, however, was different, unsettling, one might say, though he would never admit it.

"A punishment?" I thought for a moment, but he dismissed the idea as quickly as it came. "No... this is something more. Something I haven't yet grasped."

The air around him was thick, oppressive, but devoid of form or tangible threat.

There were no enemies, no resistance, nothing to destroy or subdue. And that, more than anything else, was what was beginning to irritate him.

He closed his right eye, concentrating, and then he saw it. Something strange. His left eye still seemed connected to that gloomy place he had always known.

"Part of me is still there... but this other part isn't." It was a disturbing discovery. A new sensation coursed through him, something he hadn't felt in centuries.

On the other side, in that dark realm, the part of him that remained there sensed something. A weakened connection, an abrupt separation.

For the first time in a long time, he knew what it meant to be far away, too far away.

Each step he took in the infinite whiteness felt the same as the last, as if he weren't moving forward at all, as if that place were challenging him with its monotony.

His patience, limited by nature, was beginning to run out.

Then he sensed it: a faint presence in the middle of that nothingness.

He stopped abruptly, and a crooked smile appeared on his face. "Finally, something worthy of my attention."

Before him, a light began to move. It was dim, almost ephemeral, but it seemed to be moving toward a point in the distance.

He sighed, not with resignation, but with annoyance, and began to follow it. He did so silently, each step calculated, like a predator stalking in the shadows.

********************************

Well, hello everyone, Carlomarlod here!

I'm back and picking up the story again after quite some time. You're probably wondering why the previous chapters aren't here and why I decided to continue the story from this point.

The main reason is that the "translation" of the previous chapters was pretty mediocre, to be honest.

Also, my main account was deleted, so I had to start from scratch. Luckily, I still had the chapters saved here, which allowed me to redo several moments and improve many parts of the fanfic in the process. This chapter is the second one I'm posting again; the first one has less content, but that helped me do a better translation without having to edit as much text.

There will also be some new additions in the next chapters, but for now, that's all.

Oh, and one important thing: from now on, the chapters will be between 10,000 and 15,000 words maximum.

I'll be paying close attention to your feedback to continue improving the translation.

That's all for now, thanks for reading!

Last point, as you may have noticed, Gojo Subaru's attitude is quite frustrating and impulsive, even more so than that of teenage Gojo Satoru. This is because I combined both of their personalities, resulting in this aberration.

Someone who takes everything as a gamble and doesn't care about anyone. You'll see how, in this story, even Emilia will have to work twice as hard because of Gojo's personality.

If you're wondering if there will be love between the two, well, I don't know for sure. I think there will be, but only time will tell.

So far, seeing the result, I can say it was worth it. Now, without much more to add, I'll say goodbye...
