Chapter Text

It was almost time for the Koopa Kingdom annual Halloween party, and we were all elated.
“I’m excited!” Roy said. “It’s gonna be so much fun!”
"I know," I said, almost bouncing with anticipation.
Soon, guests started pouring into the waiting room. It was 1:58: almost time for the party to start at 2 PM.
Wendy was doing the costume contest.
Once it was 2 PM, all the guests started coming in, and they then went to dance, eat food, et cetera.
Then, at 3:30, Wendy announced, “Hello, everyone! The costume contest is beginning in 30 minutes, so if you’d like to join it, why don’t you come on over here and join in the fun?”
A bunch of kids rushed over to the stage where Wendy was.
“Can we join? Can we join?” many of them asked.
“Now, now, kids, settle down. All of you can join!” Wendy said. All the kids cheered.
“Let’s go!” one of them exclaimed.
At 4:00, the contest started. The first contestant was a girl wearing a cake costume.
“Ooh! I like it! I love the colors,” Wendy said.
Another little kid then rushed up. He was wearing a costume of Alex from Minecraft.
“Hmm, interesting. Who is this character?” Wendy said.
“It’s Alex. From Minecraft,” the little kid proudly exclaimed.
“Oh yeah, her!” Wendy said. "That's a great costume for her. It's really realistic."
Once Wendy had seen all the costumes, she went over onto a small bench and plopped down on it. She thought for a minute, and then stood up again with her microphone. She said, “Okay, we have the winner! The winner of the costume contest is…”
All the kids crossed their fingers.
“...the blue panda!”
The kid with the blue panda costume started cheering.
Later, at 6 PM, it was time for trick-or-treating! Roy, Luma, and Rosie put on their costumes, and they went out there.
"I'm too old for trick-or-treating, it's, like, so lame," Wendy said.
"I know, it kind of is," I said.
We had done so much in the past few days! We had reunited a spider with her family, made potions, done the party, stopped the Cursed Elixir… we had done so much!
Something else we had really enjoyed about those few days before Halloween, though, was the family togetherness. We had been together for all those events. The potions, Sadie, the battle, all of that.
It had been so much for everyone, especially Roy. He had caused the main problem of the past few days: the Cursed Elixir spilling.
But that was in the past now, so all we really wanted to do was get some sleep.
Everyone said good night, and we went to bed. The past few days had been fun, even though some of the things were also dangerous.
I then fell asleep, hoping that the next Halloween would be just as good as that year’s Halloween.

Notes:

The end. I hope you enjoyed the story. The next Koopa Chronicles book is coming very soon. Happy Halloween! 🎃😉
