Regulus seemed to tense at the words, just as he did just a few moments ago when they were inside. It was momentary, a relapse of emotion on his face before it disappeared completely, replaced by his haste breath as he drew even closer. He tilted his head slightly, as if trying to position James in his mind, before he said, “I think I would’ve remembered if I’d seen you before.”
