Secrets Revealed (On Hiatus)

Summary:

A multiversal being summons the Akuma Class, along with Markov, Kagami, Luka, and Marc to watch episodes of Miraculous Ladybug and to help them process their trauma in a healthy way

Notes:

This isn't like most of the fics I've seen that are mainly general sweeps, starting with Origins and going straight through Season 1. I want this to be a chance for the characters to learn the things I deem most important (identity reveals, Lila's lying and scheming, who Hawk Moth is). Therefore, this is more of a surgical strike. It takes place sometime after Chat Blanc, but before Felix (at least according to the DisneyPlus episode ordering).

Also, neither Adrien and Kagami, nor Marinette and Luka have started dating yet. Based on what the show says, Adrien and Kagami start dating in the Season 3 finale, while Marinette and Luka both start and end their relationship in the Season 4 premiere. Just something I realized was important to clarify.

Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters or content except for any reactions (basically whatever is not bolded), and the original characters Lanna, Winter, Myla, and Mocha.

I also don't know how regularly I will be updating/posting to this, since I'm currently more focused on my Time and Darkness series.

Chapter 1: Welcome to the Chamber of Revelations

Chapter Text

Original Characters

Lanna Borger: 18-year-old girl with red hair and matching eyes, 4th-wall based abilities, multiversal-based abilities, telekinesis, teleportation, apportation, omnilingualism, honesty induction, and television timestream manipulation

Myla and Mocha: twin calico cats with animal-communication, levitation, lie detection, and infinite consumption

Winter: a black-and-white husky with wings, size-changing capabilities, healing, cryokinesis, omnilingualism, and telepathy

Welcome to the Chamber of Revelation

In a flash of yellow light, the Akuma Class along with Marc, Luka, and Kagami appeared in a theater. For a moment, chaos reigned as they tried to get their bearings.

“Where are we?” Alix demanded loudly. She was glaring around as if one of her friends might have the answer.

“We seem to be in some sort of theater,” Max observed, peering around.

Lila pushed her way to the front. “An akuma must have attacked,” she suggested. “But I’m sure Ladybug will get us out of here.”

“And Cat Noir,” Alya added. She didn’t seem to notice Marinette and Adrien’s skeptical expressions.

“It wasn’t an akuma,” an unfamiliar voice said reassuringly. All eyes turned to see a girl with brown hair and green eyes, who looked a couple years older than the majority of class, standing in front of them. In one hand she held a red remote. On her left side stood a black-and-white husky with wings. On her right was a small calico cat, who purred at the group as she rubbed against the girl’s right leg. A second calico, nearly identical to the first, stood on the girl’s shoulders, as if ready to jump at anyone she deemed a threat.

“Who are you?” Chloe demanded harshly. Adrien cleared his throat meaningfully, and she winced. “Uh, sorry,” she said.

Alya gave her an amused smirk. “Was that an apology or were my ears deceiving me?”

Chloe scowled at her. “Whatever. I’m trying to be a better person, you know.”

“You’re doing great, Chloe!” Sabrina promised.

“I agree with Chloe,” Kim broke in. “Who are you?”

The girl smiled. “My name is Lanna Borger, but you can call me Lanna. The winged husky is Winter, and the sisters here are Myla and Mocha.”

“Why did you bring us here?” Rose asked in her usual squeaky voice.

Lanna kept smiling. “I brought you all here because I realized that there are several secrets among you all being kept that are leading to your class bond being weakened and the mental health of several of your friends diminishing,” she explained.

“I am not in this class,” Kagami pointed out. “Neither is Luka.”

He nodded in agreement. “Why were we needed here?”

“I see your point,” Lanna conceded. “The reason you are here is that these secrets effect you as much as anyone else here. Plus, having level-headed neutral parties will be important soon enough.”

“Why would we need neutral parties?” Juleka said softly, though still audibly, as everyone sat down in the comfortable seats.

Myla left Lanna and jumped onto Juleka’s lap, making the goth girl jump in surprise. “It’s because several of you are most likely going to want to kill a certain one of your classmates for some very bad things that she has done and will do,” the cat meowed.

The non-kwami wielders startled at this, having no experience with talking animals outside of akuma attacks. “You can talk?” Mylene asked.

“Of course we can talk!” Winter and Mocha growled, sounding offended. “We might not be human, but we can still talk,” Mocha hissed.

“Be nice, guys,” Lanna warned. She stared at them for a moment and waved a hand at Lila. Immediately, the girl was transported into a transparent enclosure at the back of the room. “You get the VIP room,” she told the liar.

Lila examined her new surroundings. “This looks like penalty box for hockey players,” she pointed out.

“Yes, it is,” Myla agreed, purring with satisfaction.

“That’s exactly where you belong,” Winter agreed in his deep rumble.

Lila glared at them. “Why are you letting these animals bully me?” she demanded.

“Oh, Lila,” Lanna laughed, “they’re not bullying you. They’re stating correctly that the penalty box is where you belong.”

“Lila hasn’t done anything to deserve the penalty box,” Alya snorted.

“Oh she hasn’t, has she?” both cats snarled at the same time. Winter smirked at them knowingly. Mocha pretended to think. “Okay, let us list out some of the stuff she’s done, and then y’all can tell us if that seems like a big enough deal to deserve the penalty box, cough *or more* cough.”

Now all the teenagers were staring at them except for Marinette and Adrien, who were shaking their heads slightly, and Luka and Kagami. “Before they do that, I should tell you all that this place is completely inaccessible or reachable by Hawkmoth,” Lanna interjected. “He can’t read anyone’s emotions here, so you all can react as strongly as you like, preferably without hurting anyone, so y’all should end up in far better mental health.” She smiled at the animals. “Continue.”

“Great!” Myla purred, clapping her front paws together. “Let’s see, there was the time she lied about being the descendant of a superhero, the fox wielder if I remember correctly; she said she was Ladybug’s best friend and knew her identity; she snapped at Ladybug when confronted by the superhero and told her they’d never be friends…”

Mocha grinned. “Basically everything’s she’s ever told you is a lie that a Google search could debunk.”

“She voluntarily helped Hawkmoth set up Heroes Day not once but twice and voluntarily had herself akumatized,” Winter continued.

“Which she could only do because Marinette managed to calm herself down after seeing said akuma, which came for her when Lila threatened her in the bathroom!” Mocha growled.

Myla nodded. “Not to mention lying her way into Adrien’s house and kissing him, then taking a picture of it and sending it to all his female contacts, which led to Kagami being akumatized,” she added.

“Then when Ladybug and Cat Noir came to save her, she left Ladybug to be captured and potentially have her Miraculous stolen by Oni Chan and tried to keep Cat Noir from realizing what had happened,” Winter put in.

“And she decided to manipulate her way into Gabriel Agreste’s good graces as a spy to keep Adrien away from ‘bad influences’,” Mocha snorted.

The teenagers erupted in chaos once again. Several of them, namely Alya and Rose, immediately leapt to Lila’s defense, claiming that the girl could never do anything like that. Marinette and Adrien stayed silent, and both Alix and Ivan noticed the grim satisfaction on their faces. Meanwhile, Luka and Kagami looked at Lila, trying to gage her reaction, and saw that she was smirking.

Lanna snapped her fingers and the sound of thunder drowned out the clamoring. “Look, guys, I didn’t bring you here for a debate,” she reminded them. “The point of this is for you all to see the truth that’s been right underneath your noses and become closer as a class, which is why I’ve specially selected the events we’re going to watch tonight.”

Lila knocked on the penalty box. “Ladybug is my best friend,” she asserted. “She would never let you do something like this to me.”

“That’s the story you’re sticking with?” Winter asked.

“This will be easier than I thought,” Myla snorted.

“Anyways,” Lanna continued, “we will be having some special little guests with us tonight. As the wielders are revealed, their kwamis will be brought in to join them. In addition, since I can supersede anything of Hawkmoth’s, I’m also going to bring a couple extra kwamis from further on in the timeline.”

Two small pops sounded and a small purple creature dropped into Lanna’s right hand and a small royal blue creature dropped into her left. “What? Where are we?” the blue creature asked, its eyes darting back and forth.

“Everyone, I’d like you to meet Nooroo, the kwami of transmission, and Duusu, the kwami of emotion,” Lanna introduced. “They’ve been trapped with Hawkmoth for a long time now and I thought it would be nice for them if they stayed with us for a little while.” She stepped forward and handed Nooroo to Adrien and Duusu to Marinette. “Something tells me you two will be good for them.”

Instantly, the two teenagers pulled their respective kwamis close to them protectively. “How are you doing, Nooroo?” Adrien asked gently.

“Being trapped and forced to do such terrible things isn’t my favorite thing, but at least now I get a reprieve,” Nooroo replied.

“If it were up to me, I wouldn’t let you go back to that monster!” Adrien growled.

“Neither of us can escape our jailer,” Nooroo sighed. “I’ve grown accustomed to that fact.”

Nino moved over to join them. “You shouldn’t have to go through that, dude.”

Meanwhile, Marinette and Alya were having a somewhat spirited conversation with Duusu, whose erratic emotions were making it hard to keep up.

“And my last two holders were so in love with Shadowmoth that they used my Miraculous even though they knew it could hurt them!” the little peacock cheered.

“Well, I’m glad he fixed your Miraculous, but he shouldn’t have it in the first place,” Marinette told her. “You have to get back to the Guardian.”

Duusu grinned up at her. “But I already am! At least for now…then I have to go back to him.”

Alya was trying not to laugh at her. “Him as in Hawkmoth?” she asked. “And do you know who the Guardian is?”

Before Marinette could stop her, Duusu burst out, “She is!” and pointed at Marinette.

“What!?” Marinette demanded.

“Master Fu made Ladybug the Guardian of the Miraculous when it was clear Shadowmoth would defeat him,” Duusu breezed on. “And since you are Ladybug, that also makes you the Guardian.”

“Duusu!” Lanna groaned. “They weren’t supposed to find out yet. They were supposed to find out more gradually.”

Duusu burst into tears. “I’m so sorry!” she wailed.

“Wait, you’re Ladybug!?” several of the teenagers exclaimed at the same time.

Winter nudged Lanna. “Perhaps we should begin…before any other secrets are spilled without discretion,” he suggested.

Lanna nodded in agreement. “I think you’re right.” She waved a hand towards the ceiling and another flash of light covered the room for a few seconds. “Now no one can lie, even if they want to,” she told the group. “I think some of you will struggle with that more than others,” she noted, staring hard at Lila, who had gone pale.

“So, we’re going to watch ourselves do stuff?” Ivan asked.

“Pretty much,” Lanna confirmed. She moved to an empty seat and settled into it, Mocha curling up on her lap, while Winter sat against her legs and Myla stayed with Juleka, whose eyes were now watering. “And now, without further ado,” Lanna announced, pressing a button on the remote, “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.”
