Wayne shifts his weight, towering over the younger man. We need to talk about Damian. He told me he's staying with Tim tonight. He should be staying at his home.

Stop touching me. Bruce. Stop touching me.

Damian will be staying with me.

Grayson attempts to get away. Why are you- Let go. He asked to stay with Tim because he doesn't want to deal with your brooding bullshit. I didn't put him up to that. With a hard yank, Grayson frees his arm from Wayne's grip. He starts toward the door.

While this subreddit is *really* intended for outdoor mysteries, I can't help but sleuth this out. Based on the nurses station, it's clearly a hospital. Gotham has four major hospitals, all of what have a public emergency room.

Looking at promotional photos from the four hospitals (x x x x), the set up, wall paint, and elevator placement all look most similar to Gotham Mercy West!

The Wayne Slap video has, no surprise, achieved instant virality. If you're new to pop culture, here's the breakdown.

The Players

Bruce Wayne, also known as the Prince of Gotham. Wayne has gone viral countless times, such as when he accidentally pantsed Lex Luthor or called Superman to get him down from a broken escalator. He briefly served as the CEO of Wayne Enterprises, a company he inherited from his parents, and vocally campaigns for various local causes. Notably, Wayne is the adoptive father of Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Cassandra Wayne, and Timothy Drake-Wayne, and the biological father of Damian Wayne.

Dick Grayson was adopted at eight years old out of the circus (you read that right) and stayed in the public eye on and off for several years. If you haven't seen Grayson's spread in Vogue, do yourself a favor and check that out. Gotham, New Jersey has been named the #1 Worst Place To Live by realestate.com. It holds the record for the number of consecutive days of rain. Its citizens have thrown bricks, hammers, and rubber chickens at Aquaman.

Local journalist Vicki Vale once wrote, "Gotham is God's testing arena for hell."

It has been the home to the Wayne family as far back as the 1800s. Every year, it further goes to shit. And every year, Bruce Wayne loses his billionaire status trying to fix it.

As yet, we don't know why Wayne family members were in a hospital waiting room. However, many Internet sleuths are pointing out the similarity between the background of the video (we'll get there) and the Thomas Wayne Medical Center (we told ya he puts a lot of money into the city!).

The Video, Finally

Tiktok user @gearheart posted a video at 4:18 ET on October 4, 20XX, depicting an argument between Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson.

The discussion is heated, with Wayne physically grabbing Grayson and Grayson repeatedly attempting to get away. Tensions flare and eventually, Grayson goes off on Wayne about his "brooding bullshit." The pair appear to be discussing Damian Wayne's housing arrangements. This has led to further speculation about the plethora of photos and videos of Damian in Blüdhaven the previous summer.

Toward the end of the video, Damian approaches the pair. Wayne, unaware of his child, accidentally clips his nose.

That's it. That's the Wayne Slap.

Was the hit intentional? No. Does the video give us a unique insight into the Waynes' lives? Absolutely yes.

Wow, I've gotten hundreds of mentions in the last hour asking me to comment on this video. The end of #TheWayneSlap clip plays, in which the back of Bruce Wayne's hand connects with Damian Wayne's face.

The clip disappears. Oh yeah, I can see why the internet's in a frenzy. This event, to my knowledge, took place in New Jersey. Interestingly, abuse of a child in New Jersey– The word ABUSE appears on the screen. –is defined by examples of allowing a child to be employed or using excessive profanity in front of the child. The word ABUSE is crossed out.

Instead, child cruelty– The word CRUELTY replaces the word ABUSE. –is defined by examples of corporeal punishment.

Section D of Title 9, Sub-section 6-1 of the Children, Juvenile, and Domestic Relations Courts states that– The word CRUELTY disappears and the following text appears as spoken. –"any willful act of omission or commission whereby unnecessary pain and suffering, whether mental or physical, is caused or permitted to be inflicted on a child."

The words disappear. The words "willful act" are key here. Based on this criterion, the event in the video does not qualify as child abuse. Now, does this mean nothing illegal is happening in the rest of the video? Chime in down in the comments.

Hi Carmen,

Damian asked me this morning if he could stay with me for the foreseeable future. What would it look like to get a judgment for full-time custody? I'm anxious to get this started because Bruce's lawyers have threatened kidnapping charges in the past when he's stayed with me without prior agreement. Damian expressed feeling unsafe with Bruce and I do not want him to return there at all if possible. Damian is my top priority and I am prepared to mount the legal battle necessary to keep him in Blüdhaven.
