“Nice job, bruv. Keeping it steady as usual,” Phoenix hit his back rather hard in a gesture he’d learned to interpret as praise.
“You'd best lay off the beer before shows, or you’ll drop your drumsticks. I saw them slipping,” Yoru shrugged off his hand.
“You’re gonna criticize after a show like that?” Phoenix looked overly happy.
Neon piped in from where she was unhooking her keyboard. “Insult after all this shit is away! I wanna be able to drink without wondering where our aux cords are.”
“You’ll have plenty of time to drink, hun,” Jett teased as she put her guitar into its case.
Neon shot her a wink.
Yoru groaned internally as he packed together his things. He wasn’t planning on getting drunk with the group. Tonight, he was planning on heading home.
“Great show! You need help cleaning up?” This was not the voice of a bandmate.
He looked up to see the eyebrow-piercing girl talking to Jett.
“We won’t stop yah!” Jett said as the woman started helping out.
“Who’s this?” Phoenix asked.
