--------

A Honkai: Star Rail Crack ChatFic

Notes:

This game has consumed my life since it's release, it's about time I write a multi-chapter fic for it.

very excited to post this! Star Rail is one of my all time favorite games and aside from a few oneshots (some unpublished) I don't think I've written enough stuff for it. Do keep in mind that this fic will probably has zero to no coherent story line, unless I say otherwise in the future. Every chapter is gonna it's own stand alone silly one shot idea I had.

little more rambling before the chapter starts (I promise I'm almost done): I have not finished the amphoreus storyline as of publishing this fic and lowkey have no idea where the story is currently. bold move making the first chapter an amphoreus one but oh well.

for context, this chapter is set after we left amphoreus. Enjoy :3

Chapter 1: The Not So Little Ica

Chapter Text

The Chrysos Heirs

Hyacine: have any of you been feeding Ica weird things?
Hyacine: I think they're getting fatter

Mydei: you're saying that like Ica wasn't fat to begin with

Hyacine: D:

Castorice: They're just a little chubby! Don't say things like that Lord Mydei

Phainon: I mean
Phainon: Mydei's not entirely wrong

Mydei: I know

Anaxa: Ica could benefit from a diet

Hyacine: you too professor?
Hyacine: Ica's not that fat, are they?

Dan Heng: not to add fuel to the fire, but when Stelle was telling the other members aboard the express about our time in amphoreus, she described Ica as "Fat Fuck"

Phainon: really?

Stelle: snitch
Stelle: you agreed it was a good description >:(

Tribbie: it's... an interesting description

Aglaea: Stop body shaming little Ica

Mydei: idk if "little" is an appropriate title anymore

Aglaea: Mydeimos.

Mydei: what???
Mydei: we all saw them
Mydei: Ica's really fucking fat

Stelle: did they get fatter since we left?

Anaxa: it's safe to assume

Hyacine: hey! Stop it!
Hyacine: Ica's perfectly fine and healthy

Phainon: idk about healthy but they're definitely well fed

Cipher: they could seriously use a diet tho

Stelle: I'm just saying
Stelle: Ica's like this big

Dan Heng: we can't see your hands Stelle, this is a text message

Stelle: ah

Hyacine: :'(

Chapter 2: Mr. Yang's Favorite Kid

Notes:

Welt is like my favorite character ever, expect a lot more of the kids making him suffer.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

The Astral Express Family

Stelle: @Welt
Stelle: out of all of us, who would you say is the most tolerable?

Himeko: ?

Dan Heng: it's not you

March 7th: it's probably not me either

Welt: hold on
Welt: why are you asking Stelle?

Stelle: no reason

March 7th: out of curiosity tho
March 7th: if you have to pick one
March 7th: who would it be?

Welt: is this a weird round about way to try and figure out who's my favorite?

Dan Heng: ...

Stelle: ...
Stelle: ..No

March 7th: but since we're on the topic already
March 7th: who is your favorite?

Welt: no one
Welt: I don't pick favorites

Himeko: bull. shit.
Himeko: we know it's March

Pom-Pom: or Sunday

Himeko: or Sunday

Sunday: ?

Dan Heng: I know why Stelle isn't an option
Dan Heng: but why not me??

Stelle: >:(

Welt: fine, yes Himeko is  right, it's between March and Sunday

March 7th: YAYAYAAYAYAYAYAYY

Sunday: I'm confused... why me?

Himeko: Welt has a soft spot for pathetic depressed people

Sunday: oh

Welt: don't say it like that

Stelle: why March then?

Himeko: Welt's a girl dad

March 7th: hard agree
March 7th: Mr. Yang's such a girl dad

Welt: I fear my age is finally catching up to me...
Welt: what exactly is a 'girl dad'?

March 7th: it basically means I'm your favorite
March 7th: sorry not sorry Sunday :P

Sunday: it's alright!
Sunday: I only recently joined the express, I don't expect to be held in high regard by any of you

Stelle: why do you text like an old person

Welt: that's why you're my least favorite

Stelle: WHAT

March 7th: LMAOOOO

Notes:

I feel like im gonna mischaracterize Dan Heng a lot this fic :'( I really like him but getting a grasp on him character is really hard. He tries to be nonchalant but at the same time he's extremely caring and protective, he's always so done with March and Stelle's shit but somehow they all still share one braincell.

I just gotta write more of him, I'll figure him out eventually.

Chapter 3: Boring Gameplay

Notes:

I'm projecting my unwillingness to do Gold&Gears and swarm disaster on Stelle for this chapter. Yes I might have a whole 10 pull if I just max them out but it's so boring and each run is so longgggg.

also I'm too busy maxing out currency wars. and doing the story quest :') but I also really want Mydei, oh well.

enjoy :D

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

The Simulated Universe Project

Stephen Lloyd: btw I fixed a glitch with the score calculator in the divergent universe
Stephen Lloyd: @Screwllum

Screwllum: Thank you, Stephen. Like always, your help is greatly appreciated.

Herta: @Stelle
Herta: I couldn't help but notice your lack of visits to my office in recent months

Stelle: ?

Herta: you haven't been playing through the simulated universe at all lately

Stelle: I've been playing the one in penacony

Ruan Mei: that's the divergent universe

Stelle: they're not the same thing?

Screwllum: no

Dr. Ratio: they're very different

Stelle: ah
Stelle: my bad

Herta: are you going to play through it now?

Stelle: ?

Herta: the simulated universe

Stelle: oh
Stelle: no

Stephen Lloyd: Σ(・□・;)

Herta: and why is that?

Stelle: ummmm
Stelle: well it's just kinda boring
Stelle: and repetitive

Herta: I don't care
Herta: we need the data

Stelle: but I don't wannaa

Screwllum: we could try to implement the mechanic of the divergent universe into the simulated universe to make it more appealing.

Herta: nonono
Herta: she'll deal with it

Stephen Lloyd: I'm afraid doing changing the mechanics of the simulated universe could create severe problems with the environmental programming...
Stephen Lloyd: sorry...

Screwllum: it's alright Stephen.

Dr. Ratio: is it possible to maybe implement the research data of the SU to the DU?

Ruan Mei: no
Ruan Mei: the data is too fragile

Stephen Lloyd: even if it was possible, coding that will take ages

Dr. Ratio: I see...

Herta: or
Herta: crazy suggestion
Herta: Stelle sucks it up and plays through the already coded mechanics

Stelle: yeahhhhh
Stelle: no...

Herta: I'll double the stellar jades

Stelle: omw

Notes:

wanna know a fun fact?

I chose Caelus

I regret that decision every time I see him on my screen

Chapter 4: The Missing Game Console

Notes:

just finished the 3.4 story quest, wow that was good. I was a little confused at first but near the end all the pieces fell into place and it was just awesome.

also the transition between the 3.4 and the 3.5 is actually flawless when you play them back to back, I was so confused why the video I was watching didn't have the interaction with Herta and Screwllum, turns out that's the start of 3.5 lol. I'm speedrunning the quest for the stellar jades, I'm currently on 61 pity with a 50/50, wish me luck on getting Mydei :'3

Enjoy this chapter!

Stellaron Hunters

Silver Wolf: one of my game consoles are missing
Silver Wolf: @Kafka istg if you took it

Kafka: why on earth would I take one of your silly consoles?

Silver Wolf: idk
Silver Wolf: you just do that sometimes

Firefly: you do do that

Kafka: I didn't take it

Elio: she didn't take it

Firefly: you have like 30 consoles anyways, why does it matter if one is gone?

Silver Wolf: first of all, I have 5 consoles
Silver Wolf: second, I want to play a game on that console and I don't have it anywhere else

Firefly: can't you play it on the computer?
Firefly: the internet has everything

Silver Wolf: sometimes I forgot how old you all are
Silver Wolf: @Blade

Blade: which one is missing?

Silver Wolf: like the small portable one
Silver Wolf: it folds
Silver Wolf: and has a pen kinda

Blade: I think I saw it in the armory earlier today, check there?

Firefly: why is it there?

Silver Wolf: ummmmm
Silver Wolf: oh!
Silver Wolf: I played on it while blade was cleaning the armory yesterday
Silver Wolf: we chatted

Kafka: is it really that hard for you to type everything in one message?

Silver Wolf: I see nothing wrong with how I type
Silver Wolf: you're just a hater

Kafka: what does that even mean

Notes:

the stellaron hunters are actually my favorite faction (after the AE of course) they're dynamic is so fun imo not to mention I LOVE Blade. best character ever, he could never do any wrong. (that is, if you ignore the murders)

Notes:

I'm pretty sure my author notes were longer than the chapter itself, sorry about that :P

I just wanna make it clear that this fic is separate from the game's story in the sense that it's not really set at a specific time but any game events referenced in the fic will be referred to in past tense.

also sorry for any mischaracterization, I'm still figuring out the characters
