Chapter 1: PROLOGUE

Chapter Text

Days.

Weeks.

Months.

With the endless training. The never ending experiments. Eight year old Sarah Jackson, never knew how much time had passed.

Since he came that night. Barged into their home.

Killed her parents, abducted her.

All she had known, was the sting of the needles. The cold operating table against her skin. The creaking of pipes and dripping of water that were the only sounds to fill the loneliness of the small cell she was imprisoned in.

The voice.

His voice. Shaw. The way it was always filled with fake affection, whilst delivering broken promises and lies to her face.

Trying to hide his ill intentions.

Day after day, she lived in fear. Was inflicted with pain.

Never believing it was going to end.

Then one day, everything had suddenly changed. When he came.

The man. The stranger whose powers mirrored her own. Powers he had used to rip open the metal doors of her cell.

The man who pulled her into his arms. Without hesitation. Told her to hold on tight. Who carried her through the hallways filled with blaring alarms and flashing lights. Never stopping. Never looking back. Especially as the sound of heavy footsteps, yelling and gunfire followed behind them.

That man, wasn't just a stranger.

He had been a survivor. Once a victim, just like her long ago.

He had been the one who had freed her. Saved her from that hell-hole. And gave her a second chance.

And his name was Erik Lehnsherr...
