Chapter Text

A few months later, no one was surprised anymore.

Leo leaned against Claude whenever meetings dragged on too long, fingers hooking casually into the sleeve of his coat like it was the most natural thing in the world.

Claude let him, always, one arm draped around Leo’s shoulders or hand resting at the small of his back, a quiet, constant reassurance.

If someone asked a question, Claude answered it with Leo still tucked against him, never once stepping away.

It became a familiar sight: Leo stealing bites of Claude’s food without asking, Claude waiting for Leo outside his room like it was habit, the two of them gravitating toward each other in every room they entered.

They worked the same, fought the same, lived the same, but now, they chose each other openly, unapologetically, as if making up for all the times they hadn’t.
