“Nam-gyu lifted his head to meet Thanos, his knees still pressed flush against his chest. The sand turned to slush around them, splattering against the impact of the harsh rain.
Something about Thanos looked harsh, maybe off-putting. He was hunched over in his usual predicament, lower jaw protruding forward as he drew thin lines into the wet, grainy sand. He moved with rigid, jerky strokes, as if he was attempting to distract from the hell-on-earth both were trapped in.
With an audible hitch in his breath Nam-gyu buried his face back into his knees, the warmth of his skin humid against the sodden fabric. He wanted to shrink, to escape this horrendous predicament and finally sleep alone in his bed again, wrapped in thin, torn blankets and the warmth of solitude.”
