Summary
Merlin groaned from his uncomfortable kneeling position and Arthur could see the tiny beads of sweat already dotted across his forehead. “How bad is it?” He murmured, trying again to push himself upright at an awkward angle to take a look.
“Merlin, my friend.” Gwaine said with a grimace of sympathy. “This is going to hurt.”
And Arthur took that as his cue. Giving Merlin no time to protest, he grabbed the arrow and pulled free both the weapon and a scream.-
Set in s03e12. Whilst trying to save the Cup of Life from falling into the hands of Cenred’s men, Merlin is hit with the poisoned arrow.

Long story short, I’ve set myself a little challenge to write a fic for every single episode of Merlin. 65 episodes means 65 opportunities to hurt my favourite character because who doesn't love some good ol' whumpy angst! (I’m definitely going to regret this decision but I’m determined to complete them all.)
