Summary
Alternate title: Mumbo-07. A Mickey-17-inspired retelling of Life Series.
The axe was cool on his neck, and he could feel the breath of the player from how close they were. It stank of blood.
"That's my axe," Mumbo said.
"Yes!" the player exclaimed; in their excitement, they nearly let the axe slip. "Because I'm Mumbo. I'm you! Do you truly not get this? I mean, we have the same brain. You are truly– wasting!– the critical thinking abilities I know you have!"
"Alright, alright!" Mumbo surrendered.
"Do you get it?" the stranger asked. "I really need you to get it."
"You're me," Mumbo echoed. He said it more like a question than a declaration, but the player took it all the same. They leaned back a bit and brought the axe down to rest at their side.
"I'm you," they agreed. "I'm the you after you died to lava. But you didn't die, clearly."
The Watchers Corp production company employs particular methods to produce this series. These methods fly under the radar until Mumbo, believed to be dead at the bottom of a lava lake, is brought back on his red-life to continue playing in Secret Life. Only, the yellow-life Mumbo isn't dead.
