He looks down at himself in amusement. His makeup is the most smudged it’s been all night, the tip of his nose too red.
“I would,” Kai spouts. It’s out of his mouth before he can stop it. He regrets it instantly.
Beomgyu looks at him, eyebrows raised. “What?”
And maybe it’s the exhaustion, maybe it’s the way Beomgyu had laughed at himself when he’s one of the most stunning creatures Kai has ever seen. Whatever it is, it makes him elaborate instead of finding a way to backtrack.
“I’d date you,” he declares, then realizes how it sounds and hurries to correct, stumbling over his words. “If—if you were a girl. I’d date you.”
