Its started faster than they both expected
A supposed to be ‘one night stand’ turned into an long term relationship
Turned into an unexpected pregnancy
Turned into an happy family

“Heh.. hey shads!,” Sonic said his body hanging over the couch top as he watched him cook “do you remember when this was all supposed to be a one night thing but turned into.. this” Shadow turned to look at his blue husband as he sighed and turned off the stove to begin setting up the table for dinner.
“Yep I remember that like it was yesterday Sonic” Shadow tilted his head slightly “why do you ask this question though Sonic..?”
Sonic then looked down on the floor, ears drooping slightly
“Do you.. regret that night shadow.. like regret as in wishing slightly you didn’t do that with me at all?..”
Shadow looked at Sonic, confusion plastered all over his face like he didn’t understand.
Shadow placed the plates that had food on it on the table and walked towards Sonic
“Now what’s got your mind thinking about that huh” Shadow sat down on the chair lightly tugging Sonic down from the couch head and onto the couch itself
Sonic turned to him and opened his mouth but was interrupted by the door opening up catching both Sonic and Shadows attention
“Immmm home from schoooooollll!!” Yelled their child Rori as she practically kicked the door opened
Shadow smiled softly as he heard his child’s enthusiasm “and how was your school day honey?
Rori took off her shoes and placed them on the shoe stand and groaned loud dramatically “ughhh it was boring as usual.. we had some sort of math test tod-“
“DID YOU PASS IT?” Sonic turned to Rori yelling and interrupting her
“Uh.. I was.. just getting there dad..”
Shadow looked at Sonic with an face that screamed ‘really why did you just do that bitch’ and Sonic turned to shadow sheepishly
“Sorry shads..” Sonic said then coughed dramatically and turned back to Rori “please continue humble daughter.”
…”as i was saying I-“ Rori phone went off causing her to stop speaking and pick it up
Rori looked at it for a few seconds then her crystal clear eyes lit up in excitement then she squealed very loudly nearly ‘damaging’ Sonic and Shadows ears
“Oh god.. what did she just figure out..” Sonic mumbled to Shadow causing him to shrug at Sonics concern
