         I’m neck-deep (ha) in the yoke of my first sweater - just about to finish the raglan increases, eek! I’m something of a beginner knitter, seeing as I knit one (1) washcloth, and then jumped straight into a pair of socks and then a sweater. Socks and sweaters were the reason I learned to knit (hello poorly-suited crochet fabric) so it makes sense for who I am as a person, but man do I have my work cut out for me!

            It is all just one stitch in front of the other!

            If I might offer advice as someone who has many hand knit sweaters… before you commit to the next step (putting the arm stitches on holders and rejoining under armpits) put ALL the stitches onto a really long circular needle, a bunch of shorter circular needles, a big thing of cord, whatever you have, and put it in like a poncho. See if it is breaking at the right spot. I have ripped back SO MANY times partway through the torso because I realized I was making some bat-wing(arm split is too low) or child sized (arm split is too high) sweater!
            The best thing about making it yourself is you are the boss of the knitting and if the pattern doesn’t match your body, you can adjust as you go!

               You 1000% may offer advice, god knows I need it. I acquired barber cord specifically for this purpose (thank you knitting YouTube) so I’m glad to hear I’m on the right track!
