His own hands ached and burned as Wild brought them around himself.
Back in the darkness and emptiness of his room, left all alone, Wild yearned for the soft touch from the others. Of Time's warm and reassuring hugs, of Warriors' extremely careful hand holding, of Twilight's firm shoulder to tuck his head against, and of Sky's sleepy embraces.
Sure, Hyrule gave him what he wanted, but the satisfaction of the tender touch had been tainted by Hyrule's concern, that Wild didn't like it anymore.
His cold fingers stung across his skin as he slid them around his torso. If he squeezed tight enough, and closed his eyes, then it really did feel like a hug.
He liked to imagine it was Twilight's, as he always hold him that way, his firm touch on Wild's upper back, offering the support his sickly, frail body desperately cried for. And so, Wild slowly sank to the bed, grasping to the nearby pillow and resting his head on it, arms wrapped around the pillowcase with eased familiarity.
OR
Wild wakes up sick one day. It's all his fault, and doesn't deserve any help, so he tries to keep it a secret.
