Chapter 5: [The Owl House] [Camila & Eda, Camila & Luz] Revenge and Solutions

Summary:

Eda finds out that Luz is being bullied at school and takes action.

Notes:

Request from Tim_the_Toon: How about one where after Eda hears that Luz is still being bullied at Gravesfield high, she either convinces Camila to re-enroll Luz back into Hexside and/or gets some payback on Luz’s bullies; nothing too crazy just some mild vandalism on their homes while pining the blame on them.

Chapter Text

It was late at night when Eda heard Luz telling her friends about how she was still being bullied at Gravesfield High, and the older witch felt a deep anger in her stomach.

The next day, when Luz went back to the Human Realm for school, she was surprised to find her usual aggressors were absent.

She didn't question it. Hell, if anything, she was relieved. But, then, midway through the day, she caught wind of what happened.

Apparently, all of them had allegedly vandalized their own houses, and were staying home to clean it up.

It was an odd coincidence, for sure, but she didn't question it.

"Camila" Eda said somewhat firmly as she arrived at the veterinarian's house.

"Hola, Edalyn" Camila greeted. "Is everything alright?"

"Luz said she's still getting bullied at Gravesfield" Eda informed. She conveniently left out the part where she'd framed the bullies for vandalism as payback. Camila sighed.

"I know" the mother replied. "I don't understand why"

"I mean, she's a weird kid with ADHD and a non-human girlfriend and friend group"

"I wish I knew how to help her"

"Well..." Eda pulled out a stack of forms and handed them to Camila. "I was going to suggest you re-enroll her in Hexside"

Camila thought this over for a moment. As much as she didn't want to be away from her daughter even more, she couldn't ignore the fact that it'd surely be better for her mental health. Besides, with the portal, she could visit plenty...

"What if she wants to go to college here?" Camila asked. "She'd need a diploma and transcripts and-"

"Easily doctored" Eda waved her hand dismissively. "So..."

"...Okay" Camila agreed. "It would be better for her"

"Thank you"

"Hola, mama!" Luz greeted when she got home from school. Because her bullies had been absent, her day had been better than usual and she was in bright spirits. Camila smiled softly and handed her the enrollment papers.

"How would you like to re-enroll at Hexside?"

Luz's eyes lit up at this. "Are you sure?"

Camila nodded and was immediately tackled into a tight hug.

That alone made it all worth it.
