Chapter Text
Hermes sighed, looking around wearily.
Olympus could be very unfun at times, if Hermes was honest with himself. And, sadly, it seemed Hermes was the only one smart enough to realize that.
All the other gods seemed engrossed in the shiny new thing, not realizing it had already been proposed only a week earlier.
Receiving all this publicity as a messenger of the gods probably made him more in the know than anyone else.
“Hermes.”
Hermes sat up abruptly, staring at Artemis. “Artemis!” Hermes greeted her, smiling. “It’s strange seeing you here when it’s not Council time. The girls?”
Artemis’s gaze narrowed at the reference to her daughters, before the goddess spoke. “There are special circumstances today. Is my father in the throne room?”
“Nope.” Hemres replied, making a clunky sound like mortals these days. “He and other gods are in the hall.” Hermes shrugged. “The Titan-Queen is visiting.”
When Rhea appeared, it was a little more surprising, as Rhea tended to stay in Dodona with her lions. Instead, she was there with them, spending time with her children, which was very… unsettling, given the way Hera smiled when she saw their mother.
It was chilling.
“Then it’s the perfect time.” Artemis smiled, in a way that sounded very much like her twin. “You should be there; it would help you fight the monotony, brother.”
Then Artemis waved in the air and disappeared.
Hermes, without hesitation, appeared in the hall, where Artemis and Apollo had just appeared.
“Father,” Apollo bowed his head, before summoning a child to his side, holding him before him with his hands on his shoulders. “This is Percy Jackson, my prophet.”
The child looked at the gods, blinked, and then waved. “Hello. May I pet the lions?”
