He never does find out how Organa got him out, only that it happened, and then the aftermath. Then Rex shows up at his door, ragged, beardy, and with a chip on his shoulder.
And there's Rex. Tasked with going deep into the hornets nest for one clone. A high level asset, apparently. But really just some guy. Waiting to be pulled out, probably going out of his mind with boredom, and it's not like Rex can say no. Not with everything that's happened.
