You can do whatever you want

Summary:

Missing scene between Mensah telling SecUnit it can do whatever it wants and SecUnit leaving while the humans slept.

Chapter 1

Mensah's words looped in my head.

I connected to the hotel's display and started the episode I showed her in the hopper. (It was weird and awkward, to be sitting next to her like a person.)

Her expression turned amused as she leaned towards me. "Sanctuary Fucking Moon?" Her voice carried a tone that indicated she was making a joke.

"It's a soothing episode." I tried to joke back. It made her laugh, a small one under her breath.

Then Mensah fell asleep.

It was strange, to have her head lean on my shoulder. I think I could miss it.

 

 

Notes:

It kills me inside that the finale didn't have a single moment between the two of them. It kills me that "you can do whatever you want" is a voice over. The distance between them aughhh not a single scene in the finale between the two of them!

Healing myself one fanart and one fanfic at a time.

(This is the last drabble for the event, I think. Making it exactly 100 words was HARD)

(Originally it was an entirely different drabble, another CSS project that I thought would be funny, but...well... the heart wants what the heart wants and I wanted TV Murderbot to experience the small moment of wonder that book Murderbot has experienced with Mensah and Don Abene. I'm too impatient to wait for Season 2, it needs that moment now.)
