Summary
Grian knew everything associated with red: danger, anger, aggressive, blood. With all the times he had been scratched up, cut up, and made to be bared for the world to see, he would be remiss not to acknowledge that stuff. He was also terrible with redstone, so add that cherry on top and you picture his aversion pretty well.
But maybe there's more to it than meets the eye: courage, security, survival, love. Perhaps a chance encounter might be able to make him see things from a different angle once and for all. And maybe that redstone isn't as terrible as he thought.

Xisuma was an Admin, which meant upholding a sort of silent promise to protect players in your care so they led happy lives.
So when he rescued a random one from dying and invited him onto Hermitcraft for temporary refuge, everyone jumped at the chance to meet a new friend and show him around. Even if the guy was inevitably going to leave, it was always nice getting to know new faces.
The only one seemingly not sharing this sentiment was Grian, who coincidentally started appearing less and less after the stranger got to know everyone. Weird.

How Grian cleaned his wings was an enigma even to himself. It was hard to tell if they were actually "wings" in the normal sense considering how he got them, and then there was the fact that there was no guessing what could happen if others figured out how they came to be as well. It didn't matter, though, because Mumbo was a great friend who covered Grian's back by using that freaky brain of his to help solve everything.
Too bad Grian's little girl was simultaneously a little shit who liked to cause problems. Like father like daughter, he supposed.
(AKA a 5+1 fic where five times Grian has "no choice" but to ask the others for help, and one time he... decides he kind of does.)

After falling into the void at MCC, Grian thought that would finally be the end of That part of his life. He got his closure and he sure as shit didn't need more than that please and thank you. Besides, he had already spent a good portion of his life within the void, there was no way one afternoon would drastically change anything after all this time.
Meanwhile, all the others are getting a taste of what it's like being him, AKA never being given a break ever.

Derpcoin grows bigger every day. Something about the server has become sinister, icky, evil, and Grian can't help but feel it within his code. It appears he's not the only one, either. He also wants his newfound "powers" to screw off so he can get to the bottom of everything without interruption, but maybe they're what's needed to finally put this boogieman down for good.
On top of it all, Grian just really hopes he gets to stop being the only brain cell sooner rather than later, please.
