Summary
Dumbledore still hadn’t found a permanent home for Harry. The boy had now lived with Severus for almost three months. Severus didn’t know what was taking Dumbledore so long.
He assumed he’d just have to look after the boy until they found a fitting family. Harry was definitely slowly ruining his reputation though. Severus had to be extra nasty to the students to level out the domestic sight of him carrying a tired boy through the castle or accepting child drawings during class.(Can be read as a stand-alone)

Summary
“Harry. What on earth are you doing?” Severus asked.
“I’m Batman!” Harry shouted proudly before running off again. Most of the cloak dragged behind him over the floor as he hurried on. He almost fell over twice from stepping on the hem of it. That didn’t seem to stop him, as he continued jumping around the place.
"Are those my robes?"
Harry ‘borrows’ (steals) one of Severus' robes to use as a cape to play. One would think that’s the only time Harry steals Severus' clothes… but it’s not.

Summary
“Harry!” Severus shouted.
He made his way down the hill. Long strides and a scowl on his face as he approached the students.
Aaron was already on the ground with Harry again, which made some of Severus' anxiety ease, but not his rage.
“Severus! Did you see? I was flying! It was super fun! Did you see?” he’s smiling widely. There was some dirt on his face, and his hair was worse than usual, but he seemed very happy.
“I saw,” Severus said in a gruff voice. He raised his eyes to glare at the students.Harry wanders away from Severus when he gets bored of the adults talking. He ends up with a group of students practising flying. He even gets to try it out himself (with help). Severus isn’t as excited about the whole thing as Harry is…

Summary
That was until Dumbledore came with a suggestion. It surprised Severus as much as it didn’t.
“Why don’t you let young Harry go to a preschool?”
He said it like it was so simple. Severus almost thought he heard him wrong at first. When Dumbledore hadn’t said anything more for a minute Severus thought he must’ve heard right after all.
“And what exactly do you mean by that? It’s not like I can just pop off and leave the child at a muggle preschool for a few hours,” Severus snorted.
Severus' workload is always overwhelming during the examination season. Harry’s opportunities to meet children his age are lacking. So, the only logical answer is: preschool!

Summary
Severus' life had never been easy.
Some of his first memories were of fear and pain. Of the alcohol smell lingering in a dimly lit house. His childhood home had rarely been forgiving or welcoming. Instead, as a child, he’d walked around the house with light steps so as to not be noticed. He’d carefully peeked around corners as his parents argued loudly.
Though there had been bright moments at times; it had certainly never been easy.
As Severus takes care of Harry he starts to look back on his own childhood. Memories he rarely revisits resurfaces. There were similarities with their past, but also endless differences. He slowly notices how he differs from his parents and his past.
