Summary
“Please,” he hears. “I’m gonna die—” he’s cut off and Song Lan can’t hear them kissing but he can imagine that he does. They’re probably noisy kissers, wet and filthy and Song Lan bites his lip as he slips his hand up. Closes his eyes and imagines the hand belongs to Xiao Xingchen and he’s the one teasing his fingertips over one nipple, then another. Then pinching it, hard enough that Song Lan can’t help the tiny noise that spills out—
He freezes. Holds his breath. Hears nothing and they don’t pound on the wall so they must not have heard him. But then a wave of shame sinks over him—fuck, he’s being a pervert. Listening to his neighbors fuck and—Song Lan shoves his hand out. Goes to the kitchen and pours a very large glass of water and slams it down. Then resolutely goes into the bathroom and gets ready for bed.Series

“Hmm.” Xiao Xingchen studies the wine label. “It’ll go perfectly with dinner, I think.” And then he leads Song Lan further into the apartment, laid out very similarly to his own but more of a mirror image. Which of course makes sense with how they share a living room wall—
“Zichen!” Xue Yang says his name differently from Xiao Xingchen, almost mocking, his mouth curving up into this sharp smile. “So glad you could come,” he drawls and Song Lan’s face heats because there’s no way that’s not on purpose—
“A-Yang,” Xiao Xingchen chides. Then heads into the kitchen. “I hope you don’t mind that we’re vegetarian,” he calls. “I’m sorry; I probably should’ve mentioned—”
“It’s fine,” Song Lan says. “I don’t really eat much meat, either.”
Xue Yang snickers. Then jumps up from the couch, setting his tablet down. “Where are my manners?” He gestures behind him. “Please, make yourself comfortable. Can I get you something to drink?”Series
