Leaning against the doorway to the kitchen, Eddie watched Buck as he moved around the kitchen with a practiced ease, before opening his mouth. “Why was Tommy looking for you here?”
Buck yelped, stubbing his toe on a counter as he swiftly twirled around to face Eddie. When Buck finally opened his mouth to reply to Eddie, he sounded breathless. “What?”
Eddie stepped fully into the kitchen, moving around the table and up into Buck’s personal space, leaning against the counter at his back. “Why was Tommy looking for you here?”
Buck, for a second, looked like he wasn’t going to reply, his eyes bouncing around the kitchen, looking anywhere but at Eddie as he no doubt tried to find an excuse or to distract Eddie. It didn’t take long for Buck to crack. “ItwasallRavi’sfault.” Buck rushed out in one great breath.

Speculation fic for 9-1-1 season 9 where Buck's new house gets burned down by the meteor shower/space debris which forces him to move back in with Eddie.
Tommy then comes knocking on the Diaz residence looking for Buck, causing Eddie to find out about the bummy hook up/relapse. Queue jealous Eddie.

"With the lights now turned on, Eddie had a clear view of the living room and how it was set up, with the furniture pushed to the sides of the room, and an absolute mess made of the centre with candles, rocks, and even - was that incense?
“So, if I said that it looks like you’re performing an exorcism, or something like a seance, I would be wrong in that assumption?” Eddie crossed his arms, leaning back against the wall.
Buck opened his mouth to protest, paused, then pursed his lips. “You would be very slightly correct in that assumption.”
“Right,” Eddie nodded his head. “Why?”
Chris perked up then, nodding sagely whilst replying. “There was no wifi.” "

With Halloween right around the corner and the wifi down from the damages caused by the meteors raining down on everyone from the geomagnetic storm, Buck and Chris have to entertain themselves whilst Eddie is once again hanging out with his new bestie boo Hen.
What better way to pass the time than to banish Eddie's hetrosexuality away from the universe to keep the women of LA safe and sound?

Buck ignored him, grabbing a chair and placing it so that it was facing the couch. “You won’t talk to me? Fine, but we are going to finally talk about what happened, and if that’s through talking to an inanimate object like we’re 8 years old, then so be it.” Buck huffed, crossing his arms hotly. “But I am fed up with ignoring what happened and walking around each other like we’re walking on eggshells.”
“I’m not talking to a chair, Buck.” Eddie shook his head.
“Either you talk to me about your feelings, or you talk to a chair about your feelings, but one way or another, we are going to talk about our feelings tonight, Eddie.” Buck countered.

“He didn’t do anything, did he?”
“No!” Buck exclaimed, worrying at his bottom lip. “Not yet, at least.”
“What does that mean?”
“I found a ring,” Buck rushed out.
A pause.
“A ring?”
“An engagement ring,” Buck breathed, fully gnawing at his bottom lip now. “At least, that’s what it looked like.” The next pause was more elongated. It stretched out into a millennium, going on for so long that it came to a point where Buck had to glance at the dashboard to make sure that Eddie was still connected to the call. “Eddie?”
He could hear Eddie clear his throat. “He’s going to propose?”

OR: Buck spirals after finding a ring in Tommy's bedside drawer, causing him to re-evaluate their entire relationship, thinking over whether they're ready for this next momentous step in their relationship, and whether Buck can envision spending the rest of his life with Tommy
OR: Buck worries about a potential proposal and freaks out to Eddie and Maddie about it - leading to the reveal of true feelings for not just Buck.

“Buck,” Eddie’s tired, gravelly voice rumbles. It might be one of Buck’s favourite sounds. Eddie looks at Buck brightly, his face open and eyes adoring, the corner of his lips ticking up into a smile. “Would it be crazy if we got married? We could go to the courthouse today, do a Bobby and Athena and don’t tell anyone but Chris.”

“I don’t need a big wedding,” Eddie smiles. And it’s sweet, it really is, but Buck’s heart is currently trying to leap out of his chest right now, and if Eddie continues talking like Buck’s sure he’s going to, Buck just might die. “I just need you.”
OR: Buck is planning an elaborate 20 step proposal to woo Eddie into saying yes to becoming husbands and living happily ever after. Too bad Eddie proposes first. And too bad Buck does what he does best and Bucks it up. Thankfully, the 118 are a family and want buddie to get married almost as much as buddie want to get married.

“I want you to know that I did love him, and I will always continue to love him,” Abuela nodded solemnly. “And this realisation has not been an easy one, but it has recently come to my attention that whilst I may have loved him, I was not in love with him.”
Abuela spoke softly, kindly, as if the words she was speaking, the importance of them, would break Eddie. “What do you mean?”
Abuela turned her head to look at Gina beside her, and Eddie could see her squeeze her hand softly, reverently. “What I am trying to say is that I have realised that what I felt for your Abuelo was a different type of love than what I feel for Gina here.”

“Oh,” Eddie breathed. “She’s your-“ girlfriend, Eddie’s mind supplied, choking off the rest of his sentence, like he wasn't sure if he was allowed to say it, and breathing in a sharp breath of surprise.
