Summary
“Man—” Buck slams the can of pineapple down on the counter, maybe a bit harder than he’d intended. “Can I be honest for a second?”
Eddie raises an eyebrow and pauses his shredding, looking over at Buck.
“...yeah?” It comes out like it’s a question, as if he’s not really sure he wants to know what the other man’s about to say.
Buck looks Eddie directly in the eyes as he says, “I fucking hate your parents.”
Eddie’s eyes crinkle slightly, and he presses his lips together in an obvious attempt to suppress a smile as he returns his attention to shredding the last bit of zucchini.
“Yeah, well, I fucking hate your parents, too.”
or; Buck helps Eddie make zucchini bread for a surprise brunch with his parents.

Summary
Buck was tired after the first twelve hours of their shift. He’d been about to go down to the bunks when his phone started ringing.
The hospital was calling. But not a hospital in Los Angeles.
It was a hospital in El Paso.
Eddie was in an accident. Buck was his emergency contact.
So, of course, Buck did the most rational thing he could think of.
He dropped everything and booked a flight to El Paso, so he could take care of his best friend and his son.

Summary
“Are you okay?” Shannon asked.
Buck pondered this. “Well, this certainly isn’t the worst thing to happen to me today,” was what he settled on.
Shannon stared at him in silence for a moment before looking down at his hand, which currently had a thick metal rod going straight through it.
“It’s nine in the morning and you’re halfway to a crucifixion,” she said slowly.

The best friends have worked through a lot over the last year, including the lawsuit, the well collapse, the fighting, and finally the make-up, where Buck and Eddie saw a new light between each other. Something they’ve never seen before now, and the day was normal before all of this happened. Buck and Eddie were finally going to stop fighting their feelings for one another and just be together. No near-death experience or poor decisions in the past were going to change that.
It didn't last long...

Summary
Buck hears the word once — in the wrong moment, in the wrong state of mind — and it sinks its teeth in. What should have been a passing comment twists into a truth he can’t shake, convincing him that everyone in his life is worn down by the weight of him. As he withdraws, slipping further into a quiet, dangerous spiral, the people who love him fight to remind him of one thing he can’t see on his own: he was never exhausting… only terrified of being left behind.
Exhausting (adj.): not someone who is too much to love — but someone too important to lose.

Chris burst out laughing as Buck began to hiccup, his cheeks flushed pink from the alcohol and the cold. He stumbled a little, then turned to Eddie with a mischievous grin. “Boop!” he said, tapping Eddie’s nose with a mittened finger.
Eddie flinched. “Don’t—stop that.”
“Boop!” Buck repeated, giggling harder. “You’re so serious. Like a grumpy Christmas elf. You‘re the Grinch.“

Summary
Buck's fingers mindlessly come up from his sides to intertwine with Tommy's hand, now hanging leisurely over Buck's shoulder. That's when it catches Eddie's eyes—the headache-inducing shine of a sleek silver band, reflected in the light.
It's not blinding, too small for it, but it hits Eddie's head in a stabbing painful throb all the same. He tries to blink the dizziness away, to no avail.
He watches as Tommy whispers something into Buck's ear, smug lips shaping around the name Evan in a way that sounds entirely off to Eddie in tone, even lacking the sound of it. Watches as Buck chuckles, turning his head to press a quick peck to the other man's lips. Watches as Tommy grins and kisses him back, with the weight of metal binding him down.
Or: Buck gets engaged to Tommy. Eddie has some feelings about that. It gets messy.

Summary
Tommy Kinard had arrived at the apartment expecting to just drop off the box of things he’d found while packing up to move. He had arrived expecting Abby to snatch the box, maybe say something deservedly nasty, and slam the door in his face.
What he had not been expecting was Evan Buckley.

Summary
A simple stop at a boutique turns into a defining moment for the Diaz family. When Christopher finds a blue dress he loves, Ana’s discomfort clashes with Buck’s easy acceptance and Eddie’s fierce protectiveness. In the small space between laughter and judgment, Eddie realizes who truly sees his son — and who doesn’t. Buck doesn’t hesitate to stand up for Chris’s happiness, while Eddie finally draws the line with Ana. That day, a dress becomes something more: a symbol of freedom, love, and the family that chooses understanding over appearances.
At this point I don't know what this is but I like it
