“Are you sure?” Sam continued her teasing, despite Alex's attempt at a calm approach.
“Uh, yeah.”
“You sound pretty unsure to me.” She smirked as Alex slumped back on the bed and groaned. Just then, there was a knock on the door.
“Come in!” Alex shouted. Alex knew that it couldn't have been father, as he was out on a business errand. The door creaked opened and an all too familiar face popped in.
“Hey, um, there’s some random dude downstairs causing lots of commotion.” Magnus. It was Magnus, staring at Alex with startling gray eyes, and Alex didn’t know what to do.
“Umm, uh can I go down to look?” Magnus nodded and led Alex to a balcony above the courtyard. Standing in the center, battling mobs of guards, was his mother, Loki.
