Sion thanks him with a bow of his head and rushes out. He forgot to tip Ryo, but he can just double it tomorrow. The frigid December air is a little startling, as he calls a taxi, as he tries not to dwell on what just happened. On what it means for his own feelings. On what it means for anything. Because play-flirting is one thing, but Sion being attracted to the play flirting is something else entirely.

Sion is 32, a monster in Korean major-league baseball, and is perfectly fine with being single. All he needs is his friends, his job, and his morning coffee. Or, at least, that's what he thinks.
Enter Riku: 27, owner of Sion's favorite cafe, maker of cookies, unfortunately good at flirting. His coy smile has made Sion into a regular, has made him kind of obsessed with seeing said smile.
