This work is based on Paizo’s Carrion Crown Adventure Path and is a retelling with original characters. As a result, there are massive spoilers for the Adventure Path within.
The Heroes of Ravengro arrive in Lepidstadt to find a city celebrating a victory: the menace known as the Beast of Lepidstadt has been captured and will be put on trial and summarily executed!
But mystery shrouds this celebration, one that lures the heroes in to investigate and defend this creature from the bloodthirsty mob that demands its death. With the city arrayed against them, they open old wounds and pursue forgotten secrets to uncover the truth of the Beast’s circumstances. Surely at the heart of this puzzle lie the machinations of the Whispering Way as they continue their relentless march to their goal, an enigma whispered in shadows: Carrion Crown.

Andoren diplomat and musician Siavash Mirani has come a long way since waking up in the Kenabres infirmary with a strange, unhealable chest wound.
Having led the Fifth Crusade to victory and reconciled with the Abyssal soul grafted to his own by Areelu Vorlesh, he lent his nascent azata power to that of a handful of fresh Nahyndrian crystals to ascend to godhood along with his companions, the domains of Baphomet and Deskari turned inside-out to become his own. He, Woljif, their friends and Areelu are freed from Pharasma’s grasp—for now.
Though they clash on much, Siavash and Areelu have vowed someday to smash the machinery of the millennia that holds mortals in thrall to death and separation.
Yet there are those who would thwart their plans before they can even hatch.

This isn’t a once-a-week sort of meeting, or even a once-a-month one. It’s an unusually busy time to be a god in Golarion, and Cayden and Milani are unusually busy even given that. Neither of them can spare much time for grief.
Which is to say: it’s not about Asmodia. Not really. She should have gotten to live her life, of course, but she’s at peace now, and plenty of people have worse fates for worse reasons. It’s about the fact that it isn’t about Asmodia.

Calistria and Shelyn make a game out of pretending to be mortals once a year on Longnight, the festival where everyone tries to stay up all night during one of the longest nights of the year to "defy the darkness of winter and stay up to greet the dawn." It's not really a challenge to stay up all night since they're deities and all, but it is fun.
