Harry adjusted his mic earpiece, ignoring Ron’s muttering about Draco Malfoy’s “overstyled blond mop.”
Hermione sighed. “Just don’t start anything. Cameras are everywhere.”
Across the stage curtain, House of Serpents was finishing their set—Draco Malfoy in a silver jacket, smirking like he owned the world. His voice dripped charm, and Harry hated how stupidly good he sounded.
“Enjoying the view, Potter?” Draco’s voice sliced into Harry’s thoughts as the two groups crossed paths backstage.
Harry rolled his eyes. “Enjoying your auto-tune.”
Draco stepped closer. “Jealousy doesn’t suit you. But nice eyeliner.”
Before Harry could retort, a producer barked through a headset: “Both groups, meeting room. Now. Company announcement.”
Minutes later...
“...a collaboration single,” the executive said with a forced smile. “Golden Trio and House of Serpents—together. Songwriting starts tomorrow.”
Dead silence.
Then Draco said, “You’ve got to be joking.”
But Harry, for some reason, wasn’t laughing.
