Summary
When something ancient and impossible slips into Nevermores' grounds and fixates on Enid Sinclair, Wednesday Addams finds herself plagued by visions and an obsession to unravel the truth. Determined to solve the mystery alone, she pushes everyone away to protect the one person she can't afford to lose.
But Enid refuses to leave Wednesday's side, even as clues reveal a conspiracy more dangerous than either imagined. As conspiracies surface, betrayal hits close to home, and disaster strikes, Wednesday is forced to let Enid in—into the investigation, into her fears, and into the walls she's built around her heart.
What begins as a reluctant partnership turns into something deeper, something Wednesday has never known how to name. Mystery and magic intertwine into a slow-burning love neither of them expected, but both desperately need.

Summary
My take on the characters and lore of the Wednesday series, to include bits and pieces of the original 1960's series, the 1990's movies and the later animated movies. Using some of that lore, and in an effort to make things feel a bit more realistic (to me anyway) some of the characters are changed a wee bit to moderate their behavior and make it a bit more appropriate. So, yeah, I like stabby Wednesday as much as anyone but am toning it down a little bit so she wouldn't have wound up in a cell at Guantanomo by now.
This story is open ended and the length and how long it runs will depend on if other folks like to read it and if it gets any feedback or not. I envision it being a slice of life of the kids at Nevermore and the adults in their lives as they grow up and evolve a bit. Initially it will cover the break after the attack on Nevermore and the rest of the school year after unless people enjoy it and then I'll continue.
Please enjoy. Comments, suggestions and general discussion welcome. If you just want to hate without offering something to the conversation you will be ignored.

Enid agrees to spend Halloween break with Wednesday in order to protect her roommate from a color-loving ghoul that's haunting the Addams family manor. If flinging herself into another macabre adventure is the only way to get some quality time with her best friend, who she's been oddly protective of since the Hyde attack, then why not? Except the closer Enid gets to Wednesday, the more it seems like her roommate may be hiding something from her, too. And despite the altogether ooky Addams antics and endless creep factor of the family manor, Wednesday and Enid discover there's more danger outside it than within.

“The Harvest Festival? Did we not do that last year?” Wednesday Addams huffed at the newly pinned poster on the noticeboard. After suffering from frankly pointless classes all day, this was possibly the worst news she could have received. Her roommate would beg to differ however.
“It’s the Annual Harvest Festival, Wends,” Enid Sinclair pointed out, tapping the word with one perfectly manicured fingernail. “And, attendance is mandatory again so you can’t make up some lame excuse to stay behind.”
OR, the Harvest Festival has rolled around again. Enid is determined to at least have fun with her roommate. The roommate in question happening to confess her love to her was just an added bonus.
