Summary
When Clay gets the news that Trent, who had been with another team on an operation due to that team needing a medic, has died alongside the entire team he was with, it ends his life as he knows it. Clay drowns in his grief, struggling to look past the event and move on. Bravo are also struggling, having lost a teammate, however with Clay being Trent's partner, it brings a new aspect to losing a teammate that none of them have ever encountered before. Now, Bravo find themselves stuck between their own emotions surrounding Trent's death and dealing with Clay's grief over losing not only his teammate but his partner.
Almost two months after his death, Trent is found alive and once again, it threatens to break the foundations of healing that Clay and Bravo had slowly started to build.
Note: Trent/Clay is establised before the fic begins and is accepted by the team/command. This has no connection to any other Trent/clay works in the 'SEAL Team' series.
