Summary
When Clay gets the news that Trent, who had been with another team on an operation due to that team needing a medic, has died alongside the entire team he was with, it ends his life as he knows it. Clay drowns in his grief, struggling to look past the event and move on. Bravo are also struggling, having lost a teammate, however with Clay being Trent's partner, it brings a new aspect to losing a teammate that none of them have ever encountered before. Now, Bravo find themselves stuck between their own emotions surrounding Trent's death and dealing with Clay's grief over losing not only his teammate but his partner.
Almost two months after his death, Trent is found alive and once again, it threatens to break the foundations of healing that Clay and Bravo had slowly started to build.
Note: Trent/Clay is establised before the fic begins and is accepted by the team/command. This has no connection to any other Trent/clay works in the 'SEAL Team' series.

As they separated, Trent felt a compulsion of anticipation and desire rush into him and mix into one overwhelming feeling. Clay’s skin was hot beneath his, and the soft curve of his neck sent electricity through his fingers as Trent cupped it. Trent moved again, gripping onto the back of Clay’s neck, cupping the delicate skin with his finger, and crashing their lips together in what had become muscle memory, absorbing Clay’s warmth through him. Clay moved underneath him, his hands running up the side of Trent’s back, nails digging slightly into the skin, with the sensation sending shivers of excitement through his body as Clay hooked one leg over his own.
Every cell in his body felt alight. Every moment was carefully captured and savoured, stored in his memory and tasted in that split second. Clay’s touch eased the begging in his bones, the drive pulling him closer. In these few hours, Trent had mapped Clay’s body and knew it like he knew his own. In a reverent fashion, he has worshipped each flash of skin he could, each promise and thrill of pleasure.

Trent is up for the challenge, but neither Trent nor Clay ever expected for feelings to start to brew between them. With Clay's life constantly on the line both in the field and Stateside, how will Trent handle loving someone like Clay? Loving someone that could die at any given moment and there was nothing he could do to save him. Can their new relationship survive all of the challenges that lie ahead? Or will it be too much and this will be what finally breaks Clay for good?

Also, I'd like to add, if you ship Emma Hayes/Clay Spenser, please do not read my books. I think it's bad
Clay is in his late 20s/early 30s and Emma is barley 21 at this point in time. It's at least a 10-14 year age gap and it's not great
