Turned into a vampire in the 1800’s, he had to leave one brother behind in Mystic Falls while running away from another brother who promised him an eternity of misery. But, in 2009, his plans are interrupted, and he returns to Mystic Falls when a familiar face draws him out of hiding. Castiel Shurley has the same face of the vampire that turned him into a vampire over a hundred years ago and he feels drawn to the other man by some force that he can’t explain.
