I try not to show any emotion but could feel my hands starting to shake and tears starting to form on my eyes. I didn’t turn around to face him, I couldn’t, I had trusted him, he was the first person who cared about me in a special way.
“I loved you, Patrick.” I said quietly, but I could still feel him stiffen and gasp.
