Summary
Over the course of several hundreds of years of maintenance, if each individual piece of the Ship of Theseus is replaced, one after the other, is it still the same ship?
Celia Smith has forever patiently tolerated Dib Membrane's obsession with the paranormal, and his belief in technological innovation at all costs. But now for the big reveal: Celia is the daughter of Almighty Tallest Miyuki, the thought-to-be-dead true ruler of the Irken Throne. Now, it's time for Celia to leave Earth, a safe haven for Irken rebels, and participate in the fight against the Irken Empire.
In the wake of this reveal, and all that comes with it, Dib isn't willing to give up on two things: the opportunity to prove alien life exists, and the chance to stay with Celia. But he is blind to the agonies of the Irken Empire. As he faces the destruction of Irken culture and the devastation of trillions, he must make a choice. He can embrace the importance of culture, art, community and tradition, or he can hold fast to his own ideas about science, technology, and innovation. His decision may cost him the one thing he can't live without.

Zim is Irken. Celia knows this because she is Irken, too. Zim held her as a smeet. Zim is 7,000 years old, and a rebel, and he knows exactly who Celia is. He can't comment on that, though, on account of his PAK currently serving as a surveillance device for the Irken Empire. One slip, and The Hive will recognize his treason and execute him remotely.
So Zim is pretending to be a loyal Irken soldier, and on top of that he's pretending not to know that Celia is next in line for the Irken throne, and on top of that he's pretending to be a human middle schooler, and Celia is politely pretending not to know who he is, and Dib is fairly convinced that Zim is an alien, so Celia has taken it upon herself to gaslight him to hell and back about it, and Gretchen has a crush on Dib, and Keef has a crush on Zim, and Dib has a crush on Celia, and Celia is handling this remarkably well, considering she's also an alien pretending to be a human middle schooler, the major difference being she actually is twelve.
It sounds like a lot to balance, but rest assured, she does not need to get her parents involved. She is more than capable of handling it herself.
