But suddenly, he felt it.
A warm, almost blinding light suddenly filling his senses. Making him hiss in pain, his level of agony rising until it slowly twisted itself into pleasure. A subconsciousness was now nestled against his own, he wasn’t sure of how long it has been there, nor of the time that passed before it came.
Days? Months? Years? Perhaps even centuries of nothingness. But he curiously nudged it, his liquid form almost buzzing with anticipation as he waited. And eventually, it nudged back. Curious and tentative, but almost playful in a way.
He nudged it again, reaching for it as he found himself wanting - yearning to know more. But the subconscious backed away, dissipating, leaving him alone once more. He found himself growing for contact, aching for it. For the subconscious to come back, for her to come back.

Three years have passed since Galadriel believed she had lost Mairon forever, meanwhile he is alive, hidden in the shadow of his old name. As Halbrand, a blacksmith in Pelargir, he leads a simple life, free from war and intrigue, and at his side is someone who has filled the void left by his lost memories. But fate knows no mercy, and one meeting is enough for their old bond to begin to smoulder once more. He wants to protect his new life from the fires of the past, and she will do anything to restore his memory, even if it means burning in the flames with him. A game full of temptation, understatements and dangerous closeness begins between them, and every touch can become a spark that reminds Halbrand who he really was.

In the early dawn, Númenor lay shrouded in a gentle hush, save for the faint rustle of a warm, sea-salted breeze drifting through Lothien’s small, cozy room. Light flickered in through the window, brushing Halbrand’s face where he lay beside her, eyes half-open but brimming with unmistakable admiration as he watched her slowly wake. Her hair, long and dark as night, cascaded over her shoulders and over the bed like a cloak, leaving him practically mesmerized.
“Morning, love,” he murmured, his voice rough and teasing as he leaned over, brushing his lips across her forehead, then down to her cheek in lazy, lingering warmth. There was a wicked gleam in his eye, one that said he knew exactly how his touch made her feel, and he relished every second of it.
Lothien’s eyes fluttered open, a faint smile curving on her lips as she took in the sight of him—Halbrand, ever roguish, looking at her with the kind of intensity that bordered on devotion. “You’re here,” she said softly, a hint of that mischievous spark in her own gaze, though gentler than his. “Didn’t get bored and flee into the city, after all?”
