Summary
The aftermath of "The Treason of God's Knight".
The protagonist of the story will be the twins that born at the end of the previous article, because of the treason of his uncle, Elty was forced to leave the Empire far away from home. Had to settle down on the land of Saracens.
The first half of the story will be set in the Middle East. Compared to the Empire's AU background in the previous work, this story will use more historical background, some Saracen roles will be real historical figures. But it's just my terrible fantasy, nothing is true. Things here never happened.
The story timeline begins in the early thirteenth century. The Crusaders, without their Holy Knight, started to withdraw from Holy Land. On the other hand, the Arabians are not united as well. Situation in Middle East always complicated.
Meanwhile from steppe, another God's punishment was coming upon the medieval civilized world with a horrendous overwhelming force. Both the Empire and the Caliphate were about to experience an unprecedented scourge of war. -

Summary
At the dawning of the Golden Age of Knowledge in the medieval Islamic world, Ajer lives in Baghdad, plagued by an unceasing desire and incapability of becoming an apprentice of one of the great scholars of the Caliph. Working as a janitor in a mosque, Ajer is told that in order to prove himself, he must bring back untranslated scrolls of knowledge from each of the great civilizations of the world. On the budget of a janitor, this seems impossible; but when a Zoroastrian storyteller from Baghdad's streets hints that she may be able to help him, a new route is opened to his dreams.

Summary
“She has all the trappings of a caravan trader. She wears a sash of rich blue silk over her plain white caftan, that shows the subtle outline of a dagger hidden in its folds. Her left hand is steady on the leather satchel that hangs from her intricately woven belt.
In the other, she holds a book, which she waves at Asami. “The Diwan of Abu Nuwas,” she reads off the cover, “is this any good?””

Summary
In the year 288 A.H., a young scholar from Baghdad travels to the twilit city of Harran, a holdout of paganism where cultists give offerings of blood to the god of the night sky. He has come to study the art of astrology under the star-worshippers of the city, but finds himself entangled in an occult web which threatens his life, his faith, and his soul.
This is the first entry in my planned series, Dreams of Distant Ages, in which I imagine how the god Sleep manifested in different civilizations throughout history.
