Summary
Lylah can't recall how many times she sighed at Jess' stupidity. (Why exactly are they friends again?) When she thinks of Jess placing another bet with Matt, she groans in agony, recalling all of the times Jess placed bets with Matt, all of which ended in utter and complete tragedy. "So tell me, how much specifically did you bet?" Lylah questioned as she examined the two tickets in her hands. "Please tell me you didn't just stake your entire bank account on this," she added.
“Don't worry, Lylahloopsy, it's only 5 dollars this time.” Jess grins in assurance, though not apologetic.
"I'd have expected you to bet your entire bank account for this," Lylah said. After gazing Jess in the eye with a straight expression in an attempt to inspect her for any lies to be spoken, Lylah questioned, "When are we doing this? Don't you have a tutor appointment tomorrow? Wait. Don't tell me you're going to skip that?"
Jess once again breaks out in a grin– something she can't seem to stop doing. “Who says we're doing it tomorrow?”
