Uranus wasn’t sure. He tried to blink several times and ended up just closing his eyes as he slumped in place, trying to think through the sudden haze in his thoughts. He’d been painting just fine for—well, he actually wasn’t sure how long it’d been, because it felt like he kept winking in and out of existence, and he’d nearly toppled over into his easel and painting once or twice.
…He probably just needed to drink some water. That was all, right?
Just a little bit of water, and he’d be… fine.

Sure he wanted to win but where was the fighting? The drama? Why was Jupiter just handing over the victory to him?

His eyes immediately lit up bright, affectionate and tender; and every bit of his anxiety drowned underneath the weight of the look, his shoulders relaxing.

Saturn laughed, and the bed dipped beside him. “Oh, I think you’ll want to wake up, darling. Remember what you wanted today?” Uranus struggled to think for several moments; and then suddenly, his thoughts slammed back into place, and he ripped his eyes open to find Saturn lying beside him, expression fond.
“Oh, right,” he managed, voice high as warmth burned in his cheeks. “That.”

Saturn gave him no quarter as he scrambled backwards and straight back into the room, slamming the door behind him, sword still pointed directly at him, the point just underneath his chin and pricking at his throat when he finally realized that Jupiter was standing where he’d been before, expression no less strict.
Stars above, there was only one way he was getting out of this.
Erebus reached up and forced his hood down. “Fuck, you two, it’s me!”
Or; A mission gone wrong finally gives Erebus the opportunity to tell Jupiter and Saturn exactly what the issue is.

The two of them remained silent as they traveled across the expanse of the Outer Solar System, but the closer they got to the Asteroid Belt the more antsy Erebus felt. Maybe he was making a mistake. Maybe he just needed to—to leave Uranus with the others. Leave on his own like he'd originally planned.
But as he threw a sideways glance at Uranus, Erebus knew his core wasn’t in the idea. It’d taken all of his strength to muster up the ability to resist Jupiter’s pleas and leave the first time, and he hadn’t even gotten far before Uranus’s voice had pulled him back, an irresistible tug. Before Uranus had given him a reason to stay.
And now…?
It’d take more than he had to offer.

Jupiter didn’t manage to finish his sentence before X jolted forward, sliding onto his lap as he stiffened, eyes gone wide.
“Or are you jealous?” he drawled, wrapping one hand around his tie, tugging at it. “You want me to feed from you, Jupiter?”
X cocked his head to the side as Jupiter tried to rein his instincts in, tamping down the natural reaction to throw X away from him. He bared his fangs. “Sucks—” he snickered, “—that you’re a vampire too. Or else I would.” He dragged his tongue along his bottom lip, and Jupiter swallowed hard, staring at the faint white of the scar stretching over his brow to distract himself.
