There was a silence before Heavy Iron broke it, "What are the flowers for?"
Jun grins at the question, "It's for my mom! It's Mother's Day today, so I'm getting a gift for her!" Now that he thinks about it, do Cardbots have parents? He knows that Red Blitz calls Gigantrex his dad, but that's only after they arrived on Earth.
"Do Cardbots have parents?" The rumbles of Heavy Iron's engine stall for a second too long, but Jun didn't notice it. "No." Jun balks for a moment. Cause if not, then where do Cardbots come from?
"…For the most part."
Jun blinked before grinning, "So you do have parents!"
Heavy Iron huffs in annoyance, seemingly uncomfortable with the topic. "Not conventionally. Most of the time, it's closer to an apprenticeship than anything."
(Or in which, Heavy Iron holds too much secrets and trauma about the million years long war he was forced into from the day he existed so he traumadumps on the 14 year old child he tried to murder once)

Heavy Iron leaned in to get his daily facefull of neck only to receive an irritated growl in return. He pulled back immediately, optics widening in surprise.
"Okay, not today." He muttered under his breath before trying again more carefully this time, leaning in to nuzzle against Black Hook’s neck plating.
The growl came again, sharper this time.
Heavy Iron nuzzled into his shoulder instead which was met with a huff but not a complete rejection

No words spoken either as Heavy Iron kneeled in front of him before pulling him into a hug, arms wrapped around his waist, head buried into him.
Black Hook huffed as he put the book aside and pet Heavy Iron on the head, his other hand settling on his back, just holding, a grounding weight. "What got you so clingy dear?"
