Summary
What if? This is a typical question after we've finished a movie or a book. This question had inspired this fanfiction too. What would happen if some characters didn't die during the attack of Stygga in Andrzej Sapkowski's Lady of the Lake? How would they affect the world of the Witcher later?
The protagonist of the story is Ciri, the Lioncub of Cintra. Maybe she is done with the events of Stygga, but her life doesn't become easier. And the real challenge of her life has just come.
Warning! This story contains spoilers of Sapkowski's Witcher series and the games by CDPR. I tried to remain faithful to the original story of the books, except for the events in Stygga so the storylines in connection with those needed to change. The story of the games had been changed multiple times.

He was half slouched on Roach, sweating and gasping, even if he had swallowed a golden oriole, his vision was blurred, with spots and in perpetual undulation. The antidote was taken late, the poison will be neutralized, but it will have side effects.
For now, the only things he could trust were; his hearing, touch, and smell.His sense of smell was what led him to be attracted by a scent , not a known one or rather a recognizable one. Ciri, accompanied by Yennefer, had left the palace for the duties of future heiress, he believes. So, at first, he didn’t understand why his body still wanted to go there but slowly, he understoods. There was another reassuring fragrance, the odour of a person, whose his body was sure that, this one ,will keep him safe during a complicated situation, which is currently the case.
An injured Geralt follow a scent that bring him confort, to rest and heal in a safe place.

Summary
Ten years have passed since the defeat of the Wild Hunt, ten years since Ciri stepped into her Destiny and never returned. Geralt, the consummate witcher has been summoned by the Queen of Skellige, a threat on the horizon has all of the Isle's in fear and Geralt must face his past and the loss of his child surpise.
This is supposed to be a dark fic, with darker topics in it... there will be slavery, torture and death but not main character deaths.

Emhyr peers though the plexiglass at the man they removed from Radovid’s castle, barely alive, as a prisoner of war. The man is huddled, his back pressed to the wall, arms wrapped around his legs and his chin propped up on the tops of his knees. He is wide eyed, visibly alarmed when he looks at them, his body tense as a bowstring. His face is thin, hollow and worn, filthy where it looms above his knees. His, very short, hair is plastered to one side of his head with dried or drying blood.
“Who is he?” Emhyr asks the medic at his side.
“We don't know yet, sire.” -
