they sent little Peter off to a billionaire in Malibu California. Anthony Stark.
It wasn't until Peter was 11 that they found out he had a brother, from Tennessee. His mother had passed away, and he didn't have any other immediate family, so the best thing the boy had was tony.
peter was fine, he could live without the attention from his father and stepmother, live with the fact he has a brother he's never spoken too. or, at least he could until the avengers started chasing him down.
OR: tony stark is peter and Harley's bio dad, but he neglects peter. peter becomes spider-man and fury is tracking him.

In this story, Penny tell her aunt everything about becoming and being Spider-Woman, including the truth behind her trip to Germany and the Stark internship. To Penny's surprise, she find that her aunt is supportive of her actions and willing to help her.
With the support of her loving aunt and her best friend, Penny find out she does not need Tony Stark to be a hero. Because, she is Spider-Woman and nothing is going to change that - not even taking her suit.
An alternate Homecoming story where Penny goes full independant two movies early. Only a tiny little bashing, but practically none.
