The group of eight has splintered off, most of them settling down after having seen enough of the world. Only Alfyn and Therion continue their journey, despite having seen all of what the world has to offer. What point is there in stopping their travels for that reason alone, after all? Alfyn will find more people who need his medicine, and Therion will find more people to steal from.
After briefly stopping by Clearbrook to see Zeph, they make their way to Rippletide to visit Tressa, and Alfyn is planning to say something to Therion - only for his confession to get thrown off when a strange girl appears to him, when she makes known that she is most certainly not of this time. The two travelers will once more become a group of eight - and this time, they have one single goal to reach together.
