“And people are reporting weird things happening at the end of their flash-forwards. Glitches. Queues getting clogged for hours at a time, NPCs getting trapped on sidewalk squares when they try leaving a lot…” says Angela. “There was just some big press release about it in Tiffany’s newest copy of SimScientific saying something about game corruption and system upgrades. They think we’ve only got a week or two left, depending on the household, before everything, well, updates. Even the Mayor’s office is supposed to be doing a big report about it on SBN this weekend to warn people what’s coming.”
“And what exactly is it that’s supposed to be coming again?” Mary-Sue asks.
“According to the press conference coming up? We’re rewinding. Whole life stages, if not longer, depending on what world you get dumped into. And people are saying that Sims my age aren’t going to get dumped into the upgrade at all—that we won’t have been born yet. I don’t want to be unborn, Mom. I haven’t even graduated college yet. I haven’t lived.”
