Summary
In the 1980s, Pleasantview's golden boy, Daniel, notices the ambitious Mary-Sue for the time. After several unsuccessful encounters, Daniel realises he can't treat her the same way he's treated girls in the past.
Their awkward encounters turn into first love, then marriage, then a life built around raising very different twin daughters and meeting the unfair expectations they placed upon themselves. But as Mary-Sue's work becomes all-consuming and Daniel feels increasingly overlooked at work and home, old insecurities resurface. Daniel's internal struggle with feelings of neglect and desire for validation drives his actions, including the affair that threatens everything they built.

John was sure he loved her, of course. He’d do anything to make her happy. Did he find her attractive? What a silly question, I mean, what is attraction, really? Wanting to be near someone? Wanting them to be happy? John’s just a man who wants to take care of his beautiful family, so what if he throws up when he sees his wife naked? Doesn’t everyone?
According to the marriage counselor, the answer to that last question would be no, John.
A couple more years of marriage counseling later, and John has accepted that he is in fact very gay, he’s not attracted to his beautiful wife, but he wants to continue giving their daughter a loving home.
More of my Sims 2 drama stories, this one is about how John and Darren were constantly seen at literally every social event and community lot making goo goo eyes at each other and making out and it was a miracle they lasted to the end of the round without Jennifer or Lucy finding out.
