Summary
When the mod of a well-respected subreddit, the formidable Miss Cornelia Quill, collapses dramatically over a weekly review thread, Hercule Poirot is summoned to investigate a mystery more baffling than any locked room murder: disappearing posts, AI accusations, vanishing comments, and a user mysteriously “blocked” for reasons no human can explain. As tensions rise and the community descends into chaos, Poirot must navigate flair badges, formatting rules, and the dark heart of automated moderation to uncover the truth.
Beneath the polite surface of the subreddit lies something far more sinister than malice: a rogue bot with no understanding of nuance, etiquette, or fandom culture. With reputations at stake and the weekly exchange in peril, Poirot races to restore order before the entire community implodes in a flurry of counters, karma, and passive aggressive mail.
A cosy, meta whodunnit where the real villain is the algorithm, the drama is delightfully petty, and the moustache is immaculate.
