“Sora is already used to calling Izu-senpai ‘Izu-senpai’” he explains, in his usual overly cheerful tone -a bit too loud for the time before bed, he realizes late. Leaning in a bit closer he tries his best to whisper against Izumi’s neck instead “How should Sora call Izu-senpai then? Sora’s special one? Brightest star?”
“Y-you sure are impossible! Just my name is okay” he can feel the heat coming from Izumi’s neck and guess the red even in the darkness. He’s even more flustered now it seems.

Summary
Grian had always thought he was rather excellent at coming up with genius schemes. This thought was not one that he kept private, after all, what was the point of creating such wonderful plots if there was no one there to bask in their glory?
When Grian decides to announce a fake wedding in order to get his hands on some extra cash he wasn't actually expecting anyone to RSVP, let alone his architectural design hero Scar. Now he's pretending to marry his long-time crush Mumbo while also doing his best to ignore his growing feelings for their unexpected guest. The line between this prank and reality growing less and less clear as time moves forward.

Summary
Grian lay on the floor. He had been sitting up at one point, his back ramrod straight as Mumbo had helped Scar back into his wheelchair and sat down on the couch. Grian’s place on the floor was basically a tradition for serious conversations, it was easier to be serious when he wasn’t distracted by the smell or warmth coming from Mumbo (and Scar in this case).

After the events of the previous works Scar decides to invite his new friends to move in with him as they've finished their various degrees. With these morons, its inevitable that shenanigans ensue with Grian, Mumbo, Gem, Pearl, and Impulse all getting ready for the real world
But he had people now, and Grian, Mumbo, and their friends had their final exams in the next few weeks and they wouldn’t need to live so close to Oakland. The display home was just outside of Westborough so they wouldn’t have to move far. Scar knew thirty odd miles wasn’t really long distance, but he’d found himself wondering if his entire life before his boyfriends had just been him living without a piece of vital assistive technology, and now being without them felt like having his arm ripped off. It was downright unfair of his feelings, he’d been single for ages but being alone now meant being without them.

Grian had felt a lot more grateful to Pearl for helping him find this job before he’d started having to fit his assessments around the shifts. Don’t get him wrong, he was thrilled to have a job, he just wished there was a way he could get the same amount of money but work fewer hours. He supposed he should try looking on the bright side, their boss, Keralis, seemed to be really nice behind all the eccentricity, and any amount of time he spent at the Bamboo Lounge was time he didn’t have to spend in his tiny dorm room with his seriously stuffy roommate who seemed to have it out for him.

The Summer wasn’t quite established enough to warm up the cold Bay Area nights where the frigid sea wind ignored any lingering warmth from the sun and instead set cold into the bones of anyone foolish enough to go out without a jumper. And for that, Pearl was eternally grateful. True, she lived in Scar’s house with air conditioning now, but she couldn’t undo several years worth of conditioning in a few months, and Pearl had too many memories of sweltering Australian or Californian Summer nights where sweat would plaster sheets to her skin and the air felt like it was suffocating her, for her not to appreciate a cool night.
