Summary
Humans are banned from touching other species in the galaxy, but George, a cat-hybrid, takes a leap of faith and lets the human aboard his ship, Dream, pet him. It awakens a side of George he’s desperate to satisfy, and Dream is more than willing to meet all of George’s needs.

“Dream,” George whined, head butting his forehead against the side of Dream’s neck. “I just want to sleep. Please pet me until I fall asleep.”
George felt the way Dream’s breathing increased and his body temperature rose. The breathing thing was a bit annoying, since it moved George, but the added warmth was more than welcomed.
“Okay… okay, I’ll pet you,” Dream finally agreed, maneuvering the both of them until he could lay back in bed, holding George tightly to his chest. He hadn’t even resumed petting him before George started purring happily again, his tail curling around one of Dream’s legs in the process.
“Humans are… really warm, just like starlight,” George mumbled, his thoughts escaping him.
“George-” Dream paused, tangling his fingers in George’s hair. “Just go to sleep, baby. Get some rest.”

He’s never known hybrids personally, but he’s seen them before. He’s spoken to them in passing. His little sister’s best friend is a dog hybrid. She’d sent him a singing card on his birthday a few years back even though they’d only interacted a handful of times. He’d been in school with some, when he’d been in school. In his, albeit, limited experience, he’s never known them to go to such lengths to hide it. Though, now he wonders how many do and what the reason for it is.
But the point is this; George is a hybrid. George is a hybrid who’s gone out of his way to keep it a secret.
Or, George is a cat hybrid. Dream finds out.

Summary
There's a lesser known counterpart of Hanahaki, a fungal disease, it festers in your lungs just like the sister disease Hanahaki does, but instead it comes up due to some form of hatred- the only way to save yourself is to let go.
But, how can you let go of anyone if they've always been there for you?
How do you drop them and not expect to get backlash from every other member of the group?
George can't bring himself to do that until Sapnap is right there beside him, begging him to just breath and say it out loud instead of internalizing it.
