Number one rule for working the night shifts at the sketchy gas station in the middle of butt-fuck nowhere was to not look at them, and they would leave you alone. Pariah, a tiefling from Baldur's Gate, finds herself drawn north by fate and prophecy, once again a tool of the gods.
"Fucking immortals," she sighs to herself.
This fic is a sequel to "Pariah's Descent Into Avernus", through readable as a standalone work. The story is based on the Wizards of the Coast adventure, Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden. I've incorporated some of the suggestions from the third-party supplement, Rime of the Frostmaiden Companion by Wyatt Trull, plus other sources. I've made a few of my own changes to fit the characters and the story I want to tell.
Even if you aren't familiar with D&D, this fic should be approachable as a general fantasy story.
